I had to purchase this because I had vacuumed a pool of water with my previous unit which (I found out) is a no-no with Dyson. It was easy to install, and worked perfectly and restored my Dyson (at a reasonable price) which I now use frequently (for dry dirt only!). Pay attention to the version and model numbers when reordering it, because there are a variety of of model. But, I would recommend this

Way cheaper than buying a new one. All parts slipped together well.

This replaced a Dyson V11 body where the plastic trigger had broken and would have required complete disassembly or expensive repairs. This body, which included a new built-in battery, was easy to replace and compatible with the Dyson equipment and filters. Highly recommend.

First I was shocked that the replacement Dyson body was sent with addition screws and the screw removal tool. It made the job so much easier! It took me about 30 minutes to carefully remove the existing screws holding the battery and installing it on the new replacement body. I was shocked that the new body worked better than the original (better suction) also the new body tells me how much battery I have left on the mode I am using. Very cool! I am a happy camper. Hope it lasts.

Our Dyson v11 torque drive is only 2 years old and has lost suction. We decided to just buy the new motor since all the other parts are still good.This is supposed to be the v11 torque drive motor… but our battery doesn’t fit? The handle looks completely different from our original one so the battery isn’t compatible.. And it came dented…Update 8/2/25: we ended up ordering a battery to fit (an extra $100) and now the motor is going out already. Waste of money. Will never buy Dyson products again. Way too much hype and money for products that just don’t last.

It was a good replacement for the one that went bad.
