I got this to store and organize model building supplies, and I reckon it's quite well suited to that function. The box seems to be made well enough, and I'm sure I'll be able to use for several years to come. The layout of the organizers on each of the tiers is effective, but I suppose I should point out that those layouts aren't terribly customizable.If you have a modest collection of hobby supplies and tools, and you're looking for a box to store 'em, look no further.

I have bought two of these Artbin organizers. The first I bought at Michaels a few years ago and the second I recently purchased from Amazon. I love these three tray organizers and Artbin has been the most solid I have found.. The original I use for Warhammer modeling. The second for general grafts.One thing I'd like to mention is they have changed the orientation of some of the trays. For Warhammer, the orientation (horizontal trays in the middle tray) was better on the original as it was more suitable to my tools. One drawback of the horizontal drawer in the middle is that it is challenging to reach the back compartment, making it almost useless. That is addressed with this most recent version, which has vertically aligned compartments. The vertically aligned compartments also supports dividers, giving more flexibility for smaller items. There are pros and cons to each and I love them both.

I figured this wouldn't hold every art instrument i have, but would help organize most of what i have. I found I couldn't fit my glitter in the middle square because it was just barely too high so that the container wouldn't close shut. That was the most disappointing because its width and length all fit well in that square space and would have complimented the paints next to it. However, i ended reorganizing it where the glitter is in the bottom compartment. The only thing i could not fit is my colored pencils in their original metal container. I probably could have emptied the container of colored pencils so that it fit, but it wouldn't make sense because it would make it less organized than it already is. If it were slightly higher (glitter would have fit) and longer (colored pencils would fit). So if it was just a little bigger everything would have fit very well. Overall it's a great product and I'm very satisfied with it.
