Great hole saw
Great hole saw. Outer spiral clears away the debris and it cuts concrete like butter. May not be as nice as a wet diamond saw and drill combo but SDS Max is heck of a lot cheaper. Like others have said, begin with a 3/8 pilot hole through thick concrete and follow with this hole saw. I much prefer to drill with this 2 5/8 hole saw verses a 2 inch solid SDS Max bit.

Great hole saw bit
Drilled all my holes in solid concrete 6 inches deep for 30 fence post holes. Took about 20 minutes per hole. As you have to stop a couple of times and change over to plain hammer mode with bouch rotary hammer drill , put on chisel bit then clean hole out. Still have plenty of carbide on bit.

Outstanding quality !
I'm not all about the status of a name, but Bosch makes some mighty good core bits. Amazon Prime shipping was supposed to be 2 days, but once I checked out and paid, it was bumped to 3 days. Just say it's 3 days in the first place. Not a big deal but if you're promising 2 days, it should be 2 days!

Works way better than expected
Couldn't believe how well this thing went through the 8 inches of concrete. It was like hard mud instead of concrete. Great tool.

Tough bit... use it every day on ...
Tough bit... use it every day on concrete, bricks, cinder blocks. Lasts well so far - over a year use. More than 100 hole done. Use with makita and hilti 13-14 amps

Great bit, not designed to drill rebar, needs to be used properly, be smart it will last
This bit and others I have purchased like it work as they should. These bits will not drill dozens of holes in old concrete. Your lucky if you get 5 or 6 holes out of one bit. The pilot bit may break or the retainer pin may break or fall out, this is not necessarily a failure caused by a defect in the bit. This bit is not magic, it drills holes in concrete of many different designs. It will drill through steel rebar but needs to be done carefully and dulls the bit significantly, so use a rebar cutting bit at these areas if you can. It frustrates me to see people give three stars or less for this bit as it is worth every penny and I consider myself lucky to have access to these. These drill bits are money makers if you bid your job correctly. Just my opinion.

The diameter is NOT 2 1/4". It is 2 ...
The diameter is NOT 2 1/4". It is 2 3/16". My guess is it is really metric. If your tolerance allows a smaller hole then buy it. A strong, well made tool but not as described. Returned to Amazon and ordered the 2 5/8" which turns out to be closer to 2 3/4". Again, assume they are both metric but the sellers approximate to the closest imperial measurement. I have seen them described in metric. Now I understand why.

Works perfectly!
This core drill cut through the old concrete foundation like butter! I expected to have to chisel out the central core. No, it made the 2" holes with just a pile of aggregate dust coming out.Worth every dollar!

A brand you know you can trust
Works just like it’s supposed to. Long enough to go through any standard wall depth (ie: Brick, cinder block and 2x4 wall with drywall) I like that it came in a reusable plastic tube/container so it doesn’t get just tossed in with the rest of the tools and gets ruined. Keep in the tube to keep it sharp and straight and in good shape.

Makes holes... Fast...
I've had a rotary hammer for a long time, great for demo, but still been cutting holes in brick for vents with a grinder and chisel, because I figured these were too expensive for what you get. I was wrong... Way wrong... A... Didn't cost nearly as much as the guy at home Depot always quoted me (never buy specialty tools at depot)... B... This takes less than a minute to do what used to take a lot longer.Do glad I have the right tool for the job now... Even if it's not one I need that often...

Failed early. Will ask for refund
The shank broke on the 4th hole drilled. Broke on the knurled end where it goes into the drill. Had to get Hilti to remove the broken piece under warranty. Do not see a way to contact manufacture. There is a visible defect in the steel and this is not an abuse of product issue it is a manufacturing flaw.
