They work fine but your original bolts should also be fine
Installed these in my Honda and they work fine Supposedly you don't have to replace the originals so maybe you don't need these

Replacement to OEM head bolt
You can re-use your OEM head bolt since they are not TTY bolts. However at 300k km , I bought this new head bolt set for peace of mind. I did a head gasket job and replace OEM head bolts with these, so far i hadn't had any problems after 3000 km.

This is the third time I've bought these bolts. (don't ask me why). They seam to work well every time. I just need to stop making mistakes. lol

Meaty valves
2003 Civic 1.7. Did a lap on the new valves and they sealed well, got compression back. You must adjust the lash on the rockers afterwards, they stood a smidge higher than the old ones
