Camera works great. MIC not so much. When the added microphone is used there is a lag from video to audio. And it does not pick up the sound well. Expected more out of the mic.

Im going to be honest here. This is a cheap kids Camera ... My phone shoots better video than this... my old Cheap Camcorder shoots better video ... I had a second one sent to me . and no matter what sd card I use in it the video is very jumpy or jerky and grainy. it shoots smother video on lower quality settings ... but I really need hd ... not 4k but good clarity. maybe if there is a software update somewhere i might be able to get better results.. I may try customer service once more but after the second one I think I think its just the cameras Quality. Mind I do know what I'm doing where it comes to video , I worked in broadcast video production and do electronics service in manufacturing for a living . I can say That customer service was Outstanding! They Responded very quickly and had a new camera on its way to me within a few days ... so this isn't a issue of customer vs the company or its customer service , I just think these cameras are not worth more than 40 dollars unless they fix some of its hardware/software ... and there is also look alike on amazon they all look just like the besteker and a whole slew of others on here . Also there is a function that is mislabeled on the camera menu , It is the DRIVER FUNCTION it is not ... Its supposed to be the TIMER /shutter function. apparently none caught this in software dev or in testing If Customer service can send me a Camera or a sd card they know that works the best with these (tried 15 different ones all brand new) of these currently it has a SanDisk Extreme PRO V30 in it I will change my Review if I can get customer service to send me one That does work the way it is described . but you should never have to have a company send out replacements to find one that works correctly !!... Hey maybe the Final QA Tech/manager should be re evaluting the way these are being tested. I would Gladly offer my services to Final test products.!! Hopefully this helps anyone ... Maybe others have gotten good results but untill I receive a good one that actually does full hd prperly my review stands as posted ....

My camera showed up, but the screen doesn’t work. It’s black at all times. It records video and takes pics and whatnot, but no screen. So why did I give it 5 stars?? Because the good folks at Lakasara responded immediately and they’re sending me a new camera! They don’t even want me to send the old one back. Yes, I have to wait, but they’ve made this process so easy I can’t help but give them the highest praise.

I am giving this two stars because you get what you pay for. In this case it was poor video quality and sound. The quality does not live up to the promise.I bought this with high hopes for a low cost solution to everyday, around the house recording. I wanted something that was inexpensive enough that if it was damaged, say while filming a shop work video, it wasn't a huge loss. I wanted to record with decent quality. I read several other reviews and it seemed like a good deal. Sadly, it wasn't. There were several things about it I didn't like but could have lived with. But the video quality was a killer.Documentation was sparse to say the least. Luckily I have some past experience with video production and such so I was able to work through the menu and get it all working okay. One thing, for example, is that it comes setup for PAL vs. NTSC by default. Another is it is set for 50Hz vs 60Hz, which causes light flickering. Out of the box the video looked pretty bad. Grainy, poor quality. So there is no "How To Setup" or "Getting Started" for first time users, which this camera targets.The camera requires that you put a mic on the hot shoe. The mic uses a separate battery and has its own on-off and adjustment switches. It seemed to me to work sporadically and was very tinny and hollow despite monkeying with the settings (there are only three). Downside is that it is very easy to forget to turn it on or off while filming in order to conserve the battery. In my case the camera was in a kitchen on a tripod filming my son prepare a special meal. It just sounds poor and is a clunky solution at best.Video quality. I would upload a segment but my guess is, like YouTube, it converts it into its on format/quality for easy streaming from their servers so you would not see the real, unvarnished video. It was grainy. Compared to my Canon Rebel T5, well, there is none. So if you are shooting life-events, things that are important to you and you want quality, look elsewhere.

Bought this camcorder for work. The video files come out clean on all settings, with no dropped frames. The interface is dead simple, so anyone can pick it up and use it. It's certainly not the highest quality camera you can buy, but for the price point, it exceeded my expectations. If I had to recommend a good cheap camera, I can honestly say that I would recommend this one.
