Alien 6-film Collection [bd + Dhd]

Well worth the price. My grandson had never seen all of the Alien movies. He loves them. He played all of the 6 movies in 2 days and then rewatched the first 2 again.

All films look great on these disks. Worth the money. Only complaint is that the artwork for the case is warped? Easy fix though

This could be in many ways the best discounted set of titles I have ever seen. The first four films include for each film the original theatrical release as well as the Unrated or Director's Version. How in the world is that possible for $25? We have Ridley Scott for three films as well as James Cameron, David Fincher and Jean-Pierre Jeunet for one each. The enormous surprise here for me is Alien3 has its original edition which doesn't get David Fincher's name but it is clearly his more amazing cut. It almost survives like a 'The Magnificent Ambersons' film as in the version that was not released is so far away from the original that it comes through like a new film. Unlike Welles' 'Ambersons' though, we thankfully have it and it shows so much why we need to keep ALL artists work intact. The transfers are all more than we should expect. There are generally few extras on the set, but the inclusion of Cameron's Directors Cut of 'Aliens' and Fincher's remarkable 'Alien3' make the set a complete bargain.

If you like this group of movies, Alien deserves to be watched in order. This blue-ray set is great, reasonably priced, and features many extras.

I like Alien 6-film Collection is very good and I like it on blu ray.

I'm not going to rate the movies. If you are here you know what you are looking for. I'm really satisfied with this collection. Its not perfect. There is not a lot of special features on the the discs for the first four movies, but the newer movies have more special features. It does come with the digital codes for all movies. More details on digital below. The first four movies have both the theatrical movies and the special editions or director's cuts. When you put them in they ask you witch version would you like to watch. The original or the 2003 special edition. Except Aliens which will ask for the 1986 or 1990 special edition. The special edition for Aliens was originally released on Laser Disc in 1990. All the movies have commentaries some have more than one. On the first four movies there is a feature called Mu-Th-Ur mode that can be turned on. I'm not sure how it works yet, but an article from CNET says that it is a way to access the index of custom viewing options and exclusive content. Its says you can access 60 hours of extra content and 12,000 digital stills from the first four films. It does seem like a really cool feature. The blu-ray case says only Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection have unrated and theatrical versions, but this is miss leading because Alien and Aliens has their alternative versions as well - they are just rated R, while, Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection are unrated for their special editions. Alien, Alien 3, Prometheus, and Alien: Covenant - look really great with crisp clear picture and sound. However Aliens and Alien Resurrection don't look as good as I was hoping. They have a lot of grain in parts of the movie. It's a little disappointing. The special editions look better though. The first four films have an isolated score were you can listen to the music of the movie. It's a really nice feature. Prometheus and Alien covenant have alot of special features. The first four films really only have commentaries and isolated score(s). I took a photo of what the description is for the two isolated scores that are included with Aliens. Other special features include some deleted scenes, but not much else. However there is some good news if you have the digital codes. The digital copys includes a lot more special features than are included on the disc. I checked on movies anywhere and on appletv to see what is included. There is behind the scenes featurette's and making of features. They also include both versions of the first four movies. Also Aliens and Alien Resurrection both look more like blu-ray quality. Especially on appletv. It is disappointing that there is not a blu-ray version that is as good as the Alien Quadrilogy with all its special features that was released in 2003, but this collection is really good if you have the ability to use and access everything.

It was a gift and he loved it! Great movies, nice packaging.

For $25, it's too good of a deal to pass up on, even though the sequels aren't that great, it's worth it for such a low price!

All six films in one great package and excellent quality. Worth that price.

Ironicamente, diria que o maior problema deste produto é a própria case não só não protege os CDs como pode ser a causa dos Blu-ray se estragarem, mesmo a case selada havia alguns riscos leves nos CDs não sei como isso sequer era possível e uma sujidade estranha, a própria case nota-se que quase se estragou no envio, mas de resto os Blu-ray todos funcionavam perfeitamente com legendas em português e etc, O vendedor foi bom, o problema era o próprio produto foi concebido de forma a não proteger corretamente os CDs, se não houve-se riscos ja daria 5 estrelas, recomendo a que comprem uma capa individual para cada CD depois, se quiserem preservar os CDs corretamente

Produto com excelente apresentação. Atendeu a todas as expectativas, principalmente nos quesitos dublagem e legendagem em PT-BR. Recomendo a aquisição do mesmo.

Muy buen producto a un precio muy justo. Para fanáticos o no tan fanáticos de la saga, se disfruta por igual ya que los efectos de las primeras películas son muy buenos considerando la época en que inició esta colección. Las versiones extendidas muy disfrutables y en general un excelente producto. Importante: audio inglés y español latino en todas las películas.
