These are now the most recent crop available (2016 Crop). Summit Hops were a cross pollination of Lexus and an unspecified male; derived from numerous plants including Zeus, Nugget and male USDA varieties. Bred at the American Dwarf Hop Association in the United States and released in 2003. Mostly used for bittering but the aroma has a distinct spice, earthy, onion, garlic and citrus (pink grapefruit, orange and tangerine) notes. Can be a Substitution for any high Alpha Acid hop. Alpha Acid 16.0 - 19.0%Beta Acid 3.3 - 6.0%Cohumulone 26 - 33%
