Scars looking much better- and pimples healing faster!
I'm about to order my 4th bottle. Another reviewer said to keep and use the small, red plug and cap without the brush that it comes with, and I completely agree. The red plug will keep the product from drying out inside the bottle (it will definitely dry up in the bottle the more it is exposed to air.)Another person said that when you use this stuff you will find flakes all over your house- So true! I am sweeping them up all the time.Anyways, how it works- I have acne scarring, and used silicone scar sheets for about 2 years straight before turning to this product. Silicone sheets work best if you keep them on for 24/7- not something you can do on your face, so you sleep with them, and talk about finding things everywhere! I was always looking for them in my bed! Stuck to my pillow, stuck to my hair..stuck to my sweeties body!!! So weird. And I didn't really see results from them that I wanted. After trying this product, I've noticed a lot of improvement! It seems to be softening the sharp edges of my scars, and some of my shallow scars are completely gone. My skin in general seems to be better. It's not 100% but there is enough improvement so far that I want to keep going. I apply it every night, and scrub it off in the morning. I actually put lavender EO on my face, then evening primrose oil, then my Skinmedica Retinol, THEN I apply the Scarguard on top of my scarred areas. It dries even on top of all my other products. In the morning, it takes a bit of scrubbing to get it off, but its worth it.AND- the best thing about it that I have noticed...It seems to speed up healing of pimples!! It stings like a mofo, but it definitely makes pimples heal up in only a few days (and so far any zits I have covered with this have healed without a scar, and redness seems to disappear faster too!)Wish I had discovered this years ago when I had bad acne.

Works well
Recommended to me by my tattoo artist. I use it for one tattoo that an apprentice really chewed up, and for a spot on my leg that literally became a hole after an infection a while back. This stuff has helped speed up my scar healing considerably for both areas. Just be mindful it stays on, and once dried it can start to look like you have skin flaking off. This is normal and fine but looks weird if you are covering any spots that are publicly visible.

Excellent product
This is absolutely wonderful product to reduce scarring. I used it for my hands when I had carpal tunnel then I used it for my recent back surgery. I’m simply amazed on how well it does. I practically have no scores at all for my back surgery this year and the hand surgery is totally gone

Did not work to reduce my keloid scars!
Scarguard was recommened to me by my Gyneac Surgeon to eliminate my keloid scars that was formed from an acne pimple. She said that it is the best keloid scar treatment available (without prescription) and a lot of plastic sugeons use and recommend it. I have been using it regularly and twice a day for the last 3 months on two different scars- one was an old 5 years old scar and the other was a fresh scar that had just healed. The scars are very tiny (about 1/4 inch). However, it did not reduce any of the scars, not even slight reduction in the color or the bump. I am very disappointed with this product since it is expensive and did not work. Plus, the liquid leaves a whitish peel-off reside on the scars that keeps falling and does not stay on the scar. So, I have to keep reapplying the medicine. As a result, this expensive medicine bottle is emptying faster. I do not intend to buy another bottle.

Tough to use
I bought this to use on a tummy tuck scar, It was hard to apply. It has a nail polish brush applicator. It also rubbed off after putting on clothes. May be best for small cuts/scars that will not be covered by clothing.

Improves texture, appearance, color in a way that normal healing cannot
Recommend this to anyone who has gotten a scar to help its appearance. How this worked for me was that it minimized the red pigmentation that my scar left behind extremely quickly and improved the texture and appearance in a way that simply leaving the scar alone wouldn't have. Maybe the best way to describe it is to say that it helps scar tissue blend in with normal skin in texture and appearance. I have recommended this to many friends and all of them agree that it helped minimize the appearance and hyperpigmentation.-I fell onto concrete and got scrapes on my face. The scars were distinctly pink. It took 2 weeks to remove the discoloration. Now, I have trouble telling where those scars are-they pretty much look like skin.-Friend got a gash on her face and the scar dipped in and was red. She was so embarrassed and tried to cover it with bangs. After using this product, the scar is still dipped into the skin but the redness has completely subsided. It took her a month. I think her scar ended up too deep for the product to completely "level" the skin, but she's extremely happy with the result.-Friend is a cook and got multiple burns and scars from her or people around her being careless with knives, fire, or boiling oil. She is not good at using this as frequently as she should be but she has noted an improvement in the appearance and believes that it would help if she was more proactive about applying it.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯-Friend is prone to hyperpigmentation and uses this on all scars to minimize the appearance. The cap with the bristle is useless. The product clumps up in the bristles and application becomes difficult. Instead, keep the red stopper and original cap and apply this almost as if it's a rollerball perfume, being careful to leave a layer and not to spill product. It smells pretty bad but the smell goes away in a minute or two. Apply to an area wider than the scar because the edges will fray up. I've found that makeup application over the dried layer is pretty much impossible. I instead put a bandage on my cheek to keep the film in place while going about my daily activities and in 2 weeks, the scar appearance had minimized to my liking. I applied two times a day, morning and before sleep. Do not apply on wounds that are still healing-wait for scabs to come off too. I've found that leaving the scab on for as long as possible helps improve the appearance and texture too.I always keep a spare bottle on hand so that if I get hurt, I can use it on the very first day that the wound heals completely!
