Perfect for sight words....We put them in easter eggs and let the kids search for them and then unscramble them. great fun.

Depends on use
These are advertised as 1" squares, but they're not--they're more like 7/8" squares. If you're using these for patterning, counting, etc., they're great since the exact size doesn't matter. However, if you want them for introducing determining areas, they'll only work for some things.

Tiles are not uniformly 1 inch
I purchased these tiles for multiple purposes in my adult ABE math class. One of the purposes was for teaching area and the concept of one square inch. I was disappointed to find out that many of the tiles are actually 15/16 of an inch. Some of my students wil be able to use them as though they were one inch, but more concrete learners will have difficulty with these. I would assume this would be more of a problem with children. If you plan to use these for geometry as well, you may want to look for a different product.
