Wonderfully soothing! Works well with vaulted ceilings.
This little gadget is super cool! I bought this as a gift for a friend but with the discount decided to try one for myself too. Why not, right? If you want to transform your space into something magical and calming, buy this thing. The hardest part was finding the right place to set it up for maximum coverage. I imagine the floor would be best but that wasn't an option for me because, dogs and my own clumsiness. Very much plug and play because I didn't read the directions. You will need a USB adapter to plug into an outlet, and 2 AAA batteries for the remote. Other than that, once you get it positioned right there is nothing left to do except groove and relax. I love the beams in my home but this device takes them to an entirely new mystical level! The sounds are ok, considering. I was not a fan of the whale noises (but I know lots of people love 'em) but they would work well with the blue setting - which gives the room an aquatic feel, like a swimming pool at night. The train sounds creeped 2/3 friends out. The rain and thunder sounds were pretty great, the river/babbling brook/ocean made me have to pee (if you know, you know ladies). The timer can be set for 1 or 2 hours. I posted pictures of the colors. I thought the red was sexy af, but 1/3 friends thought it looked evil. The white looks like clouds, on a moonlit night. You can mix the colors to certain extent and get a unicorn look. The blue and green are exceptionally soothing and give the room an aquarium look. Tbh I just sat on the couch and jammed all the buttons on the remote to see what would happen. Overall, I recommend this thing if you want to groove up your space. I paired mine with a glass of wine and some classical music but I can see how this would work well for parties and harder jams. Can't speak to the longevity because I just got it yesterday but will update if it craps out anytime soon. Buy this, you won't be disappointed!

Awesom, enjoyable, great sound effects, relaxing. It really help me to sleep!
Absolutely so engaging. I can’t wait until 4pm to close my blinds just to turn my stars on. The device has so many colors that look like galaxies. I love the sound of the crickets. Another sound is of various running water ie: seashore, running stream and rain. The remote is very convenient. I highly recommend

Versatile Room Projector With Only A Few Flaws
Over the years I've purchased a handful of room projectors like this, including ones from BlissLights and Galaxy Lamps, and out of them all this is easily my family's favorite. Our previous favorite was also a Rosetta projector, which had light patterns that looked like the surface of the ocean. This one projects light in swirling clouds and has an option for stars. Like in most cases the stars aren't very impressive unless you are quite a distance away from them, but thankfully they are easy to toggle off and on. The colors by default are bright and vibrant, but the app will let you customize them. But the way this device is built gives it some advantages over others like it. Most projectors like this are a single, solid object, and the fancy ones can move a bit. This one is an egg that sits inside a cradle and has a removable top. The top blocks the stars entirely, and dims the light but does not fully stop it. This lets you use it as a customizable night light. The fact that the egg sits inside the cradle allows for more directional control than any other projector I've seen so far, and the coverage is on par with the Galaxy Projector 2. The pre-programed sounds are similar to other versions, but fitting with the theme there are some unique ones such as whales and dinosaurs. As a bluetooth speaker it is fine - not good, but acceptable. My only real complaint is that there is no way to leave it running indefinitely. After four hours without interaction it will go to sleep. That removes some possibilities I had been hoping for, such as using it as a dim light in a basement with the option to remove the cover to 'fully' light the room up. The three pieces are sturdy, and both the egg and cover have survived the cats knocking it off of the dresser a few times. The remote is straight forward and I haven't seen any issues with the egg seeing the signal from the remote, no matter which side was facing me. It runs off of a USB-C connection, For me this is an easy recommendation. If you have children who might be interested, or if you travel and want something to make a hotel room feel less desolate you should give this a look. There are certainly cheaper options as well as options with more light settings, but as an overall package this unit is hard to beat. It is one of the first things I pack for any given trip. As one last suggestion you may want to check out the newest version, which for around thirty dollars more has the ability to emulate the northern lights.

Don’t know how I lived without it 😉
I’ve only had this for one night, so take this with a grain of salt, but I love this thing. First, let’s talk customer service: In preparation for receiving this item, I looked for the ap to download it. Then I reread the description, and realized it only mentioned linking with android systems. I was very disappointed, and posted a question. I got an answer from another buyer, who said they did not think there was an app for iOS. I directly submitted a question to the seller, because no app means one more device that picks up the signal for my oscillating fan, and my diffuser, which is extremely annoying while listening to music at night. Well, it turns out that there’s a generic type of app that interfaces with the projector, and it works quite well. The second best part of this story is that the seller sent an answer within an hour. Now about the viewing experience: Amazing. Mesmerizing. My bedroom is 14’x17’, with a ceiling that goes from 8’ high up to 12’. This projector situated on my headboard broadcasts the lights across the whole ceiling, and down the walls past the level of the doorknobs. The movement is smooth, there’s no little bumps or jerks when the lens moves. In my room, the corner nearest the projector of course, the colors are very vivid, and it decreases as it goes away from the projector, but even at the furthest corners, it’s still intense enough to enjoy the view. At that distance, it’s like watching the smoke from a bonfire drift away. Very pretty and soothing. The stars effect is pretty awesome. You can adjust the number of stars to suit your mood, or turn them off entirely. You can also choose to have them fade in and out, in the app it’s labeled “breathe”. I prefer it to the steady lights. I think it would be nice to have them flicker a little, but I’m still very pleased with the effect. The speaker is surprisingly good. I wasn’t expecting to get reasonably good quality sound. There’s no base, and it’s not very loud, but it’s fine for soft classical music to sleep by. Honestly, I’d love to link this light with my alarm, and have it come on, and gradually brighten as the alarm time gets closer. I did have some issues last night with the projector disconnecting the Bluetooth signal from my phone, but I didn’t have that issue this morning when I was checking out the features. It’s VERY bright, even on its lowest setting with the cover on… wouldn’t recommend it as a night light. I do however, really like the 5 levels of brightness. Soooo…. I probably wouldn’t have purchased this if it hadn’t been a Prime Day special, so I’m really glad to have have it. There’s a few little quirks I have yet to figure out, but it’s like user error, rather than an issue with the projector.

Remote quits working
Pretty decent light if it would work properly. Every couple days the remote stops working. Changed the batteries, still didnt work. Unplug and plug back on and it turns on and remote starts working again. I was about to buy another one until this started happening. Update (7-6-2025) Props to the customer service. They sent me a new one and an apology. Just installed waiting to see how this one performs. In the meantime i will change from a one star to five star. I liked everything about this product other than the remote randomly not working.

not bad, but not good.
well first off it came on time and was missing the protective cover over the lens, but seemed to be new, its pretty bright but the speaker is horrible to say the least, the egg shell looks pretty cool and you can adjust the colors pretty good to, but downside to it one is that it has 4 hour timer period, shuts down after 4 hour of running. and definitely not worth the money spent, could and have had cheaper do the same if not more, the app is like any app works half the time it seems, id return it but the wife likes the eggshell and its a good night light but very expensive at that. buyer beware.

Great Projector for price and quality. The upgraded version 2025
I've had other galaxy projectors. Simpler ones. But this one is an upgraded and better quality one..sounds way better and it's way louder a bit bigger. Does everything I want one to. I just wish it actually has a way to make any color you desire project.

Even with timer off it still turns off after 4 hours
Update: We have only been using these for a week and they stopped working. They reset randomly after saving settings. It’s woken my daughter up twice. I can no longer connect through the app unless I unplug the device and plug it back in. I’ll be returning these. It’s a shame. The instruction manual says you can turn the timer off but the machine still turns off after 4 hours. I’d really like to have the option to leave it on. I bought it for my kids and am also using it as a sound machine. The sound machine helps in the mornings for my youngest so she isn’t woken up by her older siblings. I wish I didn’t have to turn it back on. Otherwise it’s an awesome machine. I’d definitely give it a 5 star review if it didn’t turn off after 4 hours.
