Extra Thick(2mm) Silicone Mat, Kitchen Worktop Protector, Heat-Proof, Non-Slip, Waterproof, Light Grey, 60x40cm

Using as a work mat for camera repairs. Lies flat on the bench, good size, grips the wooden bench top and camera parts well, soft to the touch and nice and thick so helps prevent bodies/lenses from getting damaged by a hard surface. Came rolled up in a sturdy box so no creases and useful to store it in. Works a treat for my purpose. Haven't used in the kitchen so can't comment as to its suitability in that environment.

Bought this for use on our new (very expensive!) BBQ. Wanted it to look like the stainless steel area it was protecting. It is a good thickness and easily cut to size. The remainder will be used in the kitchen for hot pans etc. The mat does its job, is easy to wipe clean and also will go in the dishwasher.I can't comment on the durability yet as it's only been used twice so far.

Very large mat and much thicker than others I’ve seen. Holds up well to heat, I can pop pans straight from hob and dishes straight from oven on it with no problem and it’s easy to wipe down or rinse under tap. Also found it comes in handy for gripping lids when opening tightly sealed jars too! Definitely a good buy.

We bought this 60x40cm 2mm silicon mat here on Amazon a few weeks ago. At the moment we use it extensively on the kitchen worktop and it has now replaced a much thinner 1mm silicon mat that we had previously bought here some time back. This new 2mm mat is far thicker than anything we have every had on the worktop previously. We bought the clear version which as a bonus also wipes off and cleans up to perfection. Its has done away with our old cork mats which we continued to use even though we had our old 60x40cm thin silicon mat there previously. An old 1mm silicon mat that we didn't trust at all especially if any hot pans were placed on it straight off the hob. Well that's all finished now. We tested this new 2mm mat and it takes anything without marking. Hot pans, frying pans were all placed straight onto this mat straight of off the hob with no problem at all. It gave us the confidence to use this mat without the necessity of using our cork mats any longer.So why only 4 star's ?? Well the reason for that is that this mat is a 'slider' even though its clearly advertised as non-slip. A statement which I don't agree with at all. We have found that it does have a tendency to move around whereupon the old thinner but now discarded mat that we had stayed put. Only a small moan as its still a good buy but if it had a shiny surface on one side it would probably 'stick' and stay where placed on the counter top. Anyway its not a huge problem but its certainly becoming an ever increasing irritant. Reminds us of something that has had talcum powder or baking flour rubbed all over it. Sticks to nothing from then on. That said its still a very good silicon mat that's taken all that we have thrown at it and we are still relatively pleased with its purchase. If only it didn't slide about !! ... especially when you are trying to wipe it down ! At least when it was delivered the mat arrived in a roll and without any creases. ALL IMHO of course.

This is an excellent quality mat. The mat is well packaged and lies flat immediately. Superior thickness to others. Easy to wipe clean, stays in place. Happy with purchase.

Me ha gustado que haya quedado muy bien ajustada a las medidas de la encimera, el color y la textura.
