Right belt for the dryer but cheap and thin won’t last long

A month later so far so good, it fits my GE gas dryer and so far does its job . It was shipped and delivered in a timely manner in a plastic bag with the product description.I think I use the dryer a little bit more than others about 4-5 times a week so if did a fair amount in the month I have it.It looks like a good quality product, the belt thickness looks adequate to its purpose, with proper grooves to avoid the drum from slipping or not rotating properly.and I was able to replace the broken belt without any issues, thank god for YouTube and amazon , just saves you a lot of money for a simple repair as this.The previous belt held for 8 months before I needed this one, the one before was the original ( I assume) I hope this one would outlive the previous one.

We have a dated Hotpoint electric dryer. We ordered this because the drum stopped working. The belt was delivered fast and was the correct size. I replaced the belt and quickly stopped the "I need a new dryer" conversation..lol

My dryer model number: GE Appliances, GTX22GASK0WW (that's, GTX22GASK-"ZERO"-WW).I found the belt easy to install. However, I have spent years working on car engines as a hobby and to keep our cars running. It might not be so easy to install if you're not very handy and/or mechanically minded. I installed the belt correctly and ensured that it fell perfectly in line with the pulley and the drum, prior to reconstructing and starting the dryer. Again, I have installed ample serpentine and timing belts on car engines to understand how to install a belt correctly on pulleys! I also ensured that the pulley mechanism still had enough grease and I confirmed that it all looked just fine. After installation and start-up this belt introduced an annoying squeak to the machine (first concerning sign). The second bad sign was last night when the dryer stopped working again! Given that the belt lasted only 2.5 weeks, I can't give it any more than 1 star. As another reviewer mentioned here, the belt did look visually slightly smaller than the original. However, I assumed that that could have been because the original may have stretched over time (not uncommon for old, rubber belts) and possibly because the original was broken that I was not accurately able to assess and compare the size of the two belts correctly. However, the squeaky noise along with the now broken new belt suggests that this belt may indeed be a little smaller than the original for my machine (i.e., GE Appliances, GTX22GASK0WW).

Fits good on are dryer. Works good.
