Satisfied as it performs as expected
This docking station allows me to hook up all my monitors for both Mac and PC. The weight and size is not too large as well which makes it easy to transport. I would recommend

Solid dock, great price—and even better customer support
I’ve been using this Plugable dock with my Surface Laptop, and it’s been excellent. It gives me all the space I need for my components, runs smoothly with dual monitors, and is cost-effective compared to other options out there. But what really stood out was the customer service. I was traveling and forgot my charger—there was no way to easily replace it on the road. Plugable didn’t hesitate. They just shipped one out, no questions asked. They wanted to make sure I could keep working and stay productive, and I really appreciated that.Great product, great team behind it.

Best customer support ever!
I work mainly from home and wanted a docking station that I could use to switch between my work laptop and my home laptop easily and that would work well with my monitors while allowing me to hook up a speaker and webcam. One of the challenges is that my work laptop is a Mac and my personal laptop is a Windows machine. I initially thought a Thunderbolt docking station would work well for me, but, while my work laptop can handle Thunderbolt, my personal laptop has an ARM architecture and cannot work with a Thunderbolt device. Enter the Plugable UD-6950PDH. I learned about it because I originally bought a Thunderbolt docking station from Plugable which didn't work for me and their customer support team was able to guide me to a device that would work for me even considering the power requirements that I had. They provided guidance on the software that I'd have to install to make it work with my two machines and made it super easy.Once I had this device, I then had an issue with audio dying. And to make a long story short, the webcam I was using was interfering with proper functioning of the docking station. But, what I loved is that the customer support technician that I worked with actually dug into the log files that I sent him to find out exactly what was causing the issue. Not a lot of customer support teams would go that far. This device merits 5 stars on the basis of the cusomer support I've experienced around it, but it also works great! I can use my two-monitor set-up (almost) seamlessly with my two machines. The docking station runs quietly and smoothly. I love it!

Blurry text, unhelpful customer service only use with 4K monitors!
I bought this bc my PC went down and I wanted to switch to using my MacBook full time instead of buying another PC. My monitors are HD and have always been beautifully clear so I didn’t think they’d be a problem. Unfortunately, as soon as I plugged in I noticed that text (my main need) was not crisp at all. Figuring that I probably just needed to address a setting somewhere. I contacted the company for help. They ran me through some troubleshooting which involved asking me to connect to a different Mac to see if that made any difference. The only Mac that I had access to, wasn’t able to connect due to the way that it was set up (school Mac) so I got back with customer service and let them know. At this point, now that I was past my return window they informed me that the problem is that this product does its job by downgrading the quality to get to the two screens. So, I would really need 4K monitors just to get back to the quality I had on HD monitors before. This is so frustrating, if the first people that I talk to just would’ve done their job, I could’ve returned this $200 product instead of now needing to spend $400 on new monitors.

Good Dock for home office
Bought this dock for home office use. Has 4 USB A ports and dual display ports/HDMI. I use a dual screen setup and have used up all available 4 USB A ports- dongles for keyboard, mouse, headset and a camera. I feel the 3.5 inch audio and microphone jacks and the microSD slot are a waste of space and would like to see a couple of USB C and another USB A port. The USB C connection to the PC works great and also charges the notebook which means I can leave the laptop closed on the side. A feature that I dearly miss is a power on button. I have to open my notebook and press power button to switch on the computer. May be they will listen and come out with a model that has these features. Otherwise, it is a decent dock with a travel friendly size. Price point could be better but it hasn't given me any technical issues in 1 year of usage so I am OK with that.

Excellent hub
After lots of videos and reviews read, I purchased this for work as I need 2 monitors. I have a windows laptop and I just got a new Macbook Pro with the M2. I must say it works great. After the driver installed and updated it works seamlessly. It has lots of peripherals connections. I do wish it had a couple of USB C's for my Apple stuff, rather than all USB 3.0s, but I have adapters. It sits nicely on desk with minimal room and connects to the computers by 1 USB C cord, making it super easy for me to swap devices without unhooking a bunch of cords from monitors and headsets. Very happy with it overall. We will see how it holds up.

Reliable performance with M1 and M2 chipsets
I have two MacBooks. My work machine is a MacBook Pro with the M1 chipset, and my personal laptop is a MacBook Air with the M2 chipset. I had been using a different DisplayLink dock to run two external monitors, but was having intermittent connectivity and network issues. After purchasing this dock it just worked. Since I had used DisplayLink previously the tricky tasks with allowing screen recording and setting up the software was already done. I had a question and wrote support, and they were very quick to respond.I’ve been using the Plugable dock for three weeks now, and haven’t had a screen disconnect or dropped network connection once.
