Cheap fix for cooling fans not working on a 1998 Prizm
Perfect fit in a 98 Prizm and fixed my issue of the fans not coming on.**Some good info I found online. If your fans aren't working, pull the wire from this sensor and the fans should turn on as kind of a fail safe mode, then you know you have to replace this sensor. If they dont come on after you pull this wire and start the car, it could be several other things. Also remove the alternator to get to this, its so much easier. And you might as well replace the thermostat while you have the alternator out.

Seems to work
Engine cooling fan stopped working on 1997 Corolla, so I replaced this while I was replacing the coolant temperature sensor. One of the two solved the problem :)
