I have a couple different fire starter products. I really liked how easy it was to use this one and that it burns really well. We tried it in comparison to other fire starters and this one really performed the best. Sophos is my local Emergency preparedness store, and I have loved everything they carry.

Ok so. I have tested so many fire starters over the years. D.I.Y. stuff and store bought.This is hands down the best. I can only think of one product that burned this hot and long but I can't find it anymore and believe it was discontinued.I save stuff like this for the right conditions. If it is wet, soggy, windy. This is what you want. You still have to gather some tinder, kindling, and bigger wood. If you don't know how to select these things in wet conditions then learn how because the best fire starter is still just the first step. This does put you a bit ahead of the curve as it burns very hot and lasts a good long while depending on how much you use.

I've been using Hell's Fire since shortly after it was released a year or two ago. It is an amazingly easy to use fire starter. It is easy to get burning and it burn really hot! It takes up very little room. I'm probably showing my age when I say that it is really easy to carry in an old plastic 35mm film container!

How many survival fire starting products have you looked at, researched and compared, only coming to realize that they are all very similar and just variations of each other. Easy to use, easy to store, and incredibly effective. It burns hotter and longer than many starters.

A long time outdoors man, I have my old tried and true fire starting kit with me everyday. I try to keep up with innovative ideas. So, what the heck, I bought one. Pinched of a bit of the fire clay. I bet you could weld metal with this stuff! I just ordered 3 more. The amount you receive seems small, but it doesn't take much if you methodically accumulate tinder, kindling, and fuel before lighting off this amazing starter!
