I cannot stand dealing with the stuff that gets caught in the drain, but we're rural and on a septic system, and a garbage disposal isn't an option... so I have to clean the drain baskets. I had some other ones with a silicone basket, and because of the ways the holes in the silicone are shaped (sort of pointy), stuff gets stuck in the holes all the time. I bought these to replace them - and replace the original sink-stoppers, which are always closing when you don't want them to, and always letting stuff through.These drain strainers fit the sink drain perfectly, look great, and catch everything. I couldn't be happier with them. They're so much easier to deal with than the original sink drain, or the fancy silicone ones. The stainless steel is nice and shiny, easy to clean, and solid so that when I tap it on the garbage, I can empty it completely. For the price, I thought they might look cheap, but they're solid and great quality.Little things... but they make your life better :)As a side note, I might get a couple more, because these are perfect for straining the loose white off eggs when making poached eggs!

Sturdy metal, fit great, trap food waste, clean up and shine. Much better than expected.

These sink strainers are great! They are very sturdy. I bought them for our farm house sink from the 1950's and they fit perfectly. They work a lot better at straining then my previous strainers. Food particles and such would get under the old ones thus making them useless. These strainers are stainless steel,heavier, and made thicker so they don't lift up and allow particles to get underneath them. They fit perfectly into the drains too. They filter out all food particles except coffee grounds. I am really glad I got them.

This sink strainer is nice and heavy, staying in place even when there is a lot of water in the sink. The strainer works well in keeping the food from going down the drain and was easy to use and also to remove.Cleaning it is a little trickier. If food particles are sticking to the basket, it can be a little more difficult getting the food to release. Due to the smaller holes in this strainer compared to the one that came with the sink, the water is slower to go down the drain.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase which includes 2 strainers.

Super drain saver for sure. It fits right over the drain and catches all the scraps. It's easy to clean, very sturdy and so much better than the screen ones.
