For what it is, this backpack does the job. Occasionally my job requires me to pass through security checkpoints; having a transparent case like this speeds up the process, and the backpack feature frees up one's hands. I wouldn't recommend this for children, however, except as a piece of luggage on a trip. As one might expect with anything made of clear plastic, it simply will not hold up to everyday use, especially in a schoolyard environment.If you're handy and frugal (like me), and need the backpack routinely, I suggest reinforcing it to extend its life. Here's what I did: You'll need a roll of clear packing tape (They make a heavy-duty thickness, which will be stronger than regular) and a clear tough flexible adhesive, such as Goop's household cement. Apply a bead of adhesive along all the seams on the inside and let dry. Carefully reinforce the seams on the inside of the backpack with tape, especially where the straps are attached. Then apply a bead of adhesive along the seams on the outside. This effectively doubles the thickness of the plastic at the strain places and makes the seams many times stronger.Be careful to not overstuff this backpack; the material will not stretch like fabric does.

I would only recommend this bag if you are purchasing it for one time use, like if you need it for a sporting event or day trip to an amusement park. I work in a prison so I was using mine daily. It only lasted a couple months before tearing. The plastic is very thin. But I guess you get what you pay for. Spend an extra 10$ and get a heavy duty plastic back pack.

This is a fine product for the cost. I would be aware, however, of your stadium's policies. I figured since the bag was entirely clear, I would be fine to go into Gillette Stadium. However, they still gave me a hard time because it is technically still "a backpack." It is completely ridiculous since it is clearly not a security risk, but "policy is policy." If you are at all concerned, get a tote bag version. Oh what a world we live in.

Not very happy with this product. I bought it specifically because the info said it had a mesh pocket for a water bottle. I'm going to an airshow that requests only clear backpacks. There is NO WAY we can fit a water bottle in that space without ripping the mesh. I'm using a Aquafina water bottle that is 16.9 oz which is just a normal size bottle so not a big one.

I've always wanted a clear backpack and when I got this I was so excited to use it for school. This was before it started to become manditory some places.I didnt have things to hide, but if you have personal products that you want hidden. Get an extra smaller bag to fit inside. No big deal.There are some obvious flaws with it. Don't leave it in the sun because of the material. It could melt and burn everything inside. Also its not going to be the sturdiest so dont expect it to hold 5 textbooks.Only problem was that someone broke it the first day I brought it to school so the seems came apart and I got so sad. I temporarily fixed it with hot glue(don't do it). It is super cute and cool. I dont know why people hate it. Its a great product. Really recomend for hipsters and anyone who doesnt like where its constantly beating down sun.

Update review 12/25/15: the bag ripped through the top. Only had it since September. Very disappointed that it came apart. Buyer beware.Old review:The bag is great for FedEx field. We use it as our diaper bag. Only wish the water compartment on the side was a little wider

I've only used this bag once, and it held up nicely over the course of a very long day, with a fair amount in it. I like how slim it is--it held everything I needed (2 water bottles, snacks, wipes, hygiene items, my bulky knee braces, etc.), but sat close enough to my back so as to not wack or obstruct anyone in the huge crowd when I moved turned or moved. I also saw hundreds of people with this backpack throughout the day (Women's March), so it seems to be a great go-to for a moderate load for one or two people.

I bought this backpack for work. Our bags have to be searched by Security going in & out of the facility, this check is outside. Now that the weather is less than ideal, I can just turn around show the guard my backpack, and I am on my way. The only down side is the H2O pocket. I specifically purchased this one, hoping my 24oz bottle would fit. It does not. I throw inside the backpack, which is a little bit of a bummer. The stitching looks good and sturdy.

The product is not as durable as expected. I only had about 3 pounds of stuff in it on a daily basis (couple sheets of paper with work notes, empty water bottle, reading glasses, Kindle, headphones, and lunch). Despite the light use, over the 1 week I had it, the stitching next to the zipper started to come loose. This my be a defect in this one bag and it may not. Due to the easy return and refund policy at Amazon I am going to reorder the product and give it one more chance.

For sports events with tight security this is perfect. Worked a treat at SB50
