The Original Backnobber by Pressure Positive is hand crafted at our converted barn in rural Pennsylvania from a steel bar, bent in the shape of an �S� with wooden balls, one relatively small and one somewhat larger, permanently affixed to each end. The tool is used by hooking the device over a shoulder or under an arm and using its leverage to apply direct, deep, steady pressure to trigger points in the muscles of the neck, shoulders and upper and lower back or any large or small muscle in the body where a trigger point might occur. This pressure followed by careful, regular stretching and strengthening exercises can, over time, significantly reduce tension and pain in soft tissue and increase range of motion and overall function.

I first bought one of these for my mom and it is the thing I GO TO when I visit her. She is more than 3500 miles away! So after well over 10 years, I finally got my own. I consider this an absolute ESSENTIAL self therapy device. Especially for athletes, and especially bodybuiilder and Cross fitter types who wreck themselves, and anyone with lots of hurts!Very well made, VERY versatile. DURABLE. I am a bodybuiilder, powerlifter, abused prior military and I am STRONG. Yet, this stands up to all my abuse! I use this on all locations throughout my shoulders, back, and neck. I have spinal, bone, tendon, ligament, muscle and neurological injuries and this is a MAJOR tool in my arsenal for getting the pain out and getting the pain-free function back!I Love it! And I highly recommend it.I should note that I am 5'8" tall. 180+/- pounds depending, with a 44+/- in chest and 33 +/- inch waist. I am athletic in build, but a fairly small person, like a hobbit (as is my 5'2" mother). Some people have said that this is too big, and if you are slight of build, that may be true and you might do better with the smaller Backnobber instead of the Big Bend. I have used both. The smaller Backnobber is a tight fit for my torso and almost useless for the smaller curve. But again, if you are slighter of frame than me, this might seem big, while the other would feel perfect.

Far too stiff & smaller than original.
This isn't like the original. Firstly, it's smaller which, secondly, makes it less flexible. The slight 'give' of the original was very important for this to work effectively, and this is far too stiff and harsh. That being said, these are still fabulous tools.

Please make one with two large bends.
So I got one with the big bend, it works great, but I’m a 250 pound man, and the small part of the s bend was to small for me and went unused. So I bent out the small end. It is so much nicer being able to use the larger ball now. I’ve been disabled due to a back injury. This is one of the best things I have. I want another one,

Best ever
I have the "regular" size and now this one. I find this MUCH better... it is easier to reach all areas of my body, the larger size has better flex without the restrictions of the smaller size. I am "average" size... 14. I have now given the smaller one away.
