What a great concept. The swim suit works as long as the child kicks their feet. Every few days, we removed a few pieces of Styrofoam. In just 2 weeks, our granddaughter was swimming like a pro!

Do not let go of your child. They immediately go face first into the water. We use this with floaties and tie a shoe lace around the back so it can't slip off. Good for kids who can move their arms enough to stay afloat and teaching how to float on their back. Wouldn't recommend for kids under 2.

i love how its a swimsuit and not just a vest or something the kid has to take on or off. our friends who have floatation vests tell us that their kids just yanks it off or cries when in it because they think its cumbersome or once in the water the water displaces the vest and doesn't make it comfortable for the kids at all. this swimsuit doesn't do that at all. baby girl is completely comfortable in it and actually, when she sees it in her dresser, she grabs it and tells us to put it on her as she tries to bolt out the door towards the pool.some of the reviews say because of the way the floaters are laid out, its hard for their kid to swim because they either have to be flat on their back or on their belly, but our 21 month old can actually wade in the pool on her own vertically. it actually helps her learn to float and determine where her center of balance is in order to stay afloat. also, our girl is only 23 pounds and this was one of the few suits that she can actually wear since most require kids to be 30 pounds

Very nice suit! I bought the size 1-2 year old for my tiny 18 month old last summer and it fit then and still fits this summer, it's very stretchy material and very nice. She is 2 1/2 years old now and only 23 pounds. It doesn't fully prevent her from accidentally going face first in the water but we paired it with some Floties brand water wings last summer she was pretty good, but this summer she is much more able to keep her face out of the water while wearing both items.I also bought a size 2-4 year old for her twin sister, who is a little bit bigger, and it fit last summer at 18 months old and still fits this summer. She is 28 pounds now and tall for her age. We also bought Floties for her last summer and they worked well to prevent accidents but I don't think she needs them very much anymore to keep her face out of the water.This just goes to show that every BODY, even twins, are different.

I really like this swim suit. It fit my 2 year old good and is the average sized 2 year old. It may be a little small for a 3 year old. There are foam pieces that surround the suit to help the toddler float. In each section there are two small pieces of foam and they are removable. Not easy enough for the toddler to do by themselves though. We removed one out of each to try and help kiddo learn to swim. With just one in each, it does not keep head out of the water but does prevent out toddler from sinking completely. Do not depend on this to keep your child afloat on its own. I do recommend this to parents that are teaching their baby to swim and is directly hands on the child. I do not recommend this to parents that want to keep their child's head above water without supervision and who are more than arms length away.

We bought this suit for our Great Granddaughters 2nd birthday and had it on her for the first time this morning. We put 2 floats in the front and 2 in the back and put floaties on her arms and she took off swimming right away. She had no problem staying upright in the water and LOVED her time in the water. HIGHLY recommend this suit and will probably buy another for her younger sister 8 months old. We will of course be holding the younger one closer and even the 2 year old is within arms length and was never left alone but love how this suit gives her confidence in the water with an adult close by.

I have a 17 mo old girl 20lbs probably 23lbs now and I am happy I made this purchase. Though keep in mind the child will fall forward or backwards if he/she does not know how to swim yet. It does not make your child magically float upright. Which for me is not a problem she will not be swimming alone at this age yet anyway. My daughter swam all by herself for the first time today and she did not tip forward she stayed upright so the more the child learns to swim the more they can control the float. If you are going to want a floatation that your child can stay up right and swim freely at a young age I believe the puddle jumper is a good option but it says the child should be at least 30lbs. I just ordered one today but I do like this bathing suit and enjoyed teaching my daughter to swim in it. Once she gets the hang of it you can take out the styrofoam the less they need the floaty. I purchase size 1-2 years old in pink blossom btw.

I purchased this for my 2 year old to use at the pool this year. I was looking for something that she could not easily remove and would keep her afloat in case she fell in the water (even though we are always near her - she is a fast little daredevil). I never expected her to actually start swimming on her own at TWO YEARS OLD! She adores her suit and is swimming all over the pool in it unassisted. I love the fact that it does not ride up on her like other suits that only have a strap between the legs. I also love that you can remove the inserts to transition them to swimming without it. I have already had several moms ask me where I got it from. This is a high quality suit perfect for little ones just starting out in the pool and even for those more experienced.

Way to small my daughter wears 2T clothes and this small on her and it says 2-4 years old. No way this would fit a 4 years old.

Excellent swimming aid.

Wir hatten zuvor schon einmal einen vergleichbaren Schwimmanzug. Es ist super praktisch für einen Urlaub, da man viel entspannter am Pool liegen kann --> schliesslich geht das Kind damit ja nicht unter. Ausserdem konnten wir schön im grossen Becken gemeinsam schwimmen und rutschen einfach toll. Ich denke es ist auch ein guter Start dem Kind die Angst vor dem Wasser zu nehmen. Grösse is echt flexibel aber trotzdem passgenau. Kann ihn 100%ig weiterempfehlen, hoffe trotzdem, dass wir bald richtig schwimmen können und wir einen richtigen Badeanzug kaufen können, obwohl: dann nehmen wir einfach die Schwimmkörper raus. Bingo. Danke

Tha quality was very good but it was very small for a 1-2 year old .. So sadly I had 2 return it 🙈

My 17 months baby girl likes it very much and she can swim without any other help!
