Saved me a bunch of money in running an additional line
I am in the middle of attempting to add another camera and realized that I don't have the ability to run another cat6 cable from the network termination point. I did have a POE camera nearby and thought to myself that there HAS to be a way to split the cable and after some research, this happened. I'm very happy about it. I tested it out and no performance issue between the 2 cameras. the construction is kind of drab and boring, but who cares? it's going to sit in the network closet and it's not meant to be some statement piece so I can't be bothered to care about its looks. it works. That's all you need to know.

Yes, This
Make sure to note the connector (plug/socket) on the existing wiring and the new cable or device you plan to use them with. The splitters are available in every combination of plug -> socket, so it is easy to get the right one. It's just as easy to overlook and end up with a solution that won't work. Works great with all of my client's PoE cameras and 802.11af/at PoE switch (Nortel/Avaya 4850GTS-PWR, among others). YMMV for non-standard 12/24/48V PoE injectors or switches. These things are -all- totally basic. There is no magic in one that is not in another, so don't pay for others asking $15, $20 each — they are ALL THE SAME. We purchased a couple of Amazon Warehouse items returned by another customer... doubtless because "it didn't work" for them.

Nice product
Very good product for splitting 2 cameras with one cable but bad stuff that would not work very well with all kind of cables for l9bger distance because of wasted signal after splitting. So for that only 4 estrella

Wasted My Time
I ordered these about a month before I got around to installing them. My fault for assuming that they would be operational. I l made all of my cables, mounted my cameras in their respective locations on a corner of my house, then finally plugged everything. But.. cameras didn't come on. I assumed initially I might have misterminated an ethernet cable, but my cable tester confirmed they passed the tests. Then I assumed it was maybe my PoE extender. but after some tests, I ruled that out. Then I thought maybe a port went bad on my PoE switch.. NOPE! All other possibilities exhausted, I removed this splitter from the line, and VOILA, my signals successfully began transmitting. Clearly I got a dud, since I see others here are satisfied. This is a cutionary tale of tesxting your purchases within their return window, unlike I did.

Bought it to replace my missing waterproof caps.
…..and ended up using it as it was intended! I originally just purchased this because I had cameras that were missing the waterproof pigtails. I am happy to report that they fit the cameras just fine. I ended up using the cable also to run two cameras outside on a fence and I was pleasantly surprised that it works as intended! Connectors were up to par with the same quality as my IP cameras. Color match is not perfect but that’s no fault of the maker as this is a universal product. Best part was that for the price you it can’t be beat. Camera maker wanted three times the price for one cap. I got four for a third of the cost and the cable working as it should was icing on the cake! Great value and multi purpose! Another positive note, the orientation of the cables doesn’t matter. In the photo; it shows a splitter on the router side and a joiner on the camera side. I ran this in the opposite orientation (because I wanted the caps.

I used this adaptor to hook up two PoE cameras using just one network cable. I have absolutely no issues with my cameras sending data back to the NVR. If I ever need to add a camera to an existing network cable, I will for sure buy this again! 100% recommend this product. The picture I attached is two cameras using this Splitter cable.

I bought it to connect two Lorex cameras. It worked, but the main issue is that the product is not waterproof. Water can get inside, causing it to lose signal, and after a short time, the wires rust and it gets discarded. The connectors look very similar to the ones used with Lorex, but Lorex connectors are still good after more than a year, whereas this product didn't last even two months. If you use it indoors, it should work just fine.
