Good quality replacement for Halogen 120V G9 lamp but careful of the application.
I purchased the lamps because the G9 lamps for the 25W under counter lights of my Kitchen Aid Microwave that had burned out. They had lasted a couple of years but I thought it would be good to upgrade to lights that were more efficient.I was concerned that because the microwave has two levels of brightness settings the LED lamps may not function correctly in the "dim" setting and not all LEDs are dimmable. That in fact was NOT an issue, they dim without any flickering. The microwave has ON, DIM and OFF settings and here I found a surprising issue. The bright and dim settings work as expected, but when the lights are supposed to be OFF they actually do not fully extinguish. For me that is just a minor point as they only make enough light (in this off state) to act as a very low level night light.A big word of caution when using LED lights in the kitchen. Oven lights (inside the oven itself) have to operate at temperatures which are much higher than an LED light can tolerate. You must NEVER substitute an LED light for the original tungsten light that is installed in the oven. LED lights are great for under counter lights and general illmunation but not intended for the harsh environment inside an oven. Tungsten lights are much less efficient than LED but they are much more robust.I gave the lights 4 stars because of the issue with the lights not going off, but in reality this is probably more of an issue with the way that the microwave switch works than the LED ligtts themselves.

5 Stars but...
We bought these to use in our GMLighting under-cabinet kitchen lights that previously used a G9 base Xenon bulb. When we had these installed Xenon was the only choice. They provided excellent lighting but ran very hot and items inside the cabinets above had to be stored based on their ability to melt (chocolate chips were placed high up).Installed these LED lights today and they are excellent - good fit; easy installation; nice lighting. A little whiter (less warm) light (rated at 3000K) vs. Xenon (rated 2900K) but close. The ONLY downside: our under cabinet lights are not truly 'dimmable' but do have a high and low power switch on each fixture. With the LED lights on low there is an almost imperceptible strobing of the lamps - in fact the only time that I can perceive it is when I move my hand slowly directly underneath the light fixture. I think some people may be more sensitive to this 'strobing' effect - I would not call it 'flickering' because, as I said, it is almost imperceptible under most condition.I also do not knowthat this performance would necessarily indicate similar performance in other fixturesWhen the fixtures are set on their normal (high) position they do not have this issue and they perform great. The chocolate chips are, however, now more accessible which may be a problem of another sort...Overall, I would strongly recommend these as a replacement for hotter, less efficient halogen or xenon bulbs but would suggest you save the packaging in case they don't work out in your application.

G9 pins are short
Was hopeful these would replace more expensive and less efficient halogen bulbs. Unfortunately the contact pins are measurably shorter than the garden variety halogen G9, so they would not seat securely in my fixture. While held by hand in the fixture they do seem to provide the lighting I hoped for. Pity they didn’t work out.

Perfect fit inside the GMLighting under cabinet housing
I had been looking for an LED replacement for the way too hot halogen or Xenon bulbs that normally go in my GMlighting kitchen under cabinet housings used by most contractors. Normally each one tasks from four to three or two depending on length. I have been using these for over a year with ZERO issues in all eight fixtures. They give off a nice white light that isn't harsh, makes things like food prep a lot brighter and they look really nice even dimmed low. For dimmers I am using Lutron Diva CL LED rocker switches with mini slider ( forgot what number but they are common dimmer packs) they work great with no flicker or buzzing and go almost fully dark which is fine by me I like the slight amount of light at night and use a three bulb unit over the sink usually as a night light with ZERO flicker. If you have issues you likely have a ground or wiring issue and should consult an electrician to check it and the matching phase in you breaker panel. It can cause an issue if your wiring is old or have a lot on the circuit drawing too much current or causing a polarity problem. The dimmers are getting better but many are very sensitive.

Don't completely turn off
I have 6 of these bulbs in two small pendants. This should be sufficient load that most LED compatible dimmers should work. However, I have tried two different Lutron dimmers, including a Caseta that functions well with all other LED bulbs I have, and I can't get these to turn off completely, even after attempting to adjust the low end trim. After going back on Amazon to consider purchasing another brand, I read the small print in the description of these bulbs. It does say that they are "10% to 100% dimmable" and that they may not entirely turn off, but since they use so little current this isn't a problem. Well it might be if you are using them in a location where you want them to turn off completely. Mine are located in a water closet, so at least for now I will probably continue to use them, as they essentially function as a night light. Otherwise, they seem fine and I would consider them to be a warm white, not daylight, as some other reviewers have said. Even at the low end where they don't turn off, there is no flicker.
