Blades aren't stable inside these guards
First of all, let me say that I love the idea of rolling guards, but the execution on these leave a lot to be desired. While the material seems like it's durable, the skate blades are not stable inside these guards, even after making the adjustments as instructed in the manual. They are quite loose inside the guard. Almost as if it's designed for fatter figure skating blades (do those even exist?). For reference, we have Jackson Freestyle skates. My kid seems to like the guards well enough, but I don't recommend these. The only kind of skating you will likely get out of these is very slow laps in the lobby of the ice rink. They are basically function as a toy without practical use. The price point is shameful for what you're getting.Secondly, I'm absolutely shocked at the number of glowing reviews these have on the Internet. Skating on the driveway? No way, not unless you want to break a limb. In the garage? Not unless it involves someone pulling you around and very carefully. Preventing dulling of guards? With the amount of movement that is happening inside the guard, I doubt it.Don't recommend these.
