Working cartridges for my final HP printer (9018). HP updated the firmware (now dated 2025-04-04) to reject other cartridges, even though I believe I had turned off firmware upgrades last time, but Valuetoner cartridges still work.Saving my HP printer from the landfill, and saving me from buying a new printer (which will not be from HP, given their repeated "Dynamic Security" attempts to block choice in cartridge suppliers). Note that I have confirmed firmware updates are set to "Do Not Check", and I've documented it in this Amazon review.Also, super-fast Prime deliver. Would give an extra star if I could.

I have been buying value toner cartridges for over 3 years now and have never had a problem. The XL cartridges can last me over a year, and we print about 10 reams of paper in that time. I only had one problem when I purchased a cartridge and did not use it for a year. When I put it in my HP8710 printer a year later, it said HP would not let me use it because it was not a genuine HP cartridge, but I contacted the seller. They immediately responded, replaced my cartridge, and sent an extra free one to assure my satisfaction. I highly recommend these cartridges for HP printers.

These work well in my printer (HP). I printed out a color check and all the colors are working fine and are correct. And immediately started using them. I don’t see a noticeable difference in quality so therefore would recommend them.

The price is reasonable, the quality is good, and the prompt delivery is excellent.

On Amazon’s listing of this product, the rating showed 4.3-stars from 17.5K people. This rating was encouraging to purchase as I trusted Amazon and this vendor. However, this product does not work with my HP Office Jet Pro 9025 All-In-One printer.When I installed these new cartridges, I got a “Non-HP Chip Detected.” It states to resolve this issue, remove the cartridge, then reinstall after 10 seconds. However, no matter how many times this process is done, the printer still rejects the ValueToner cartridges to work with this HP printer. The label on this box shows: “New Chip V1.C1S” “EXPIRY: Nov 28, 2026.” I later read the 1-star/11% editorials explaining my same problem.I then called ValueToner customer service and actually got a response. They sent me (via email) instructions on how to turn off “firmware update” on my printer. This did not sound like good advice by “messing” up my good printer. I consulted my computer tech guy, who confirmed that this procedure was totally unacceptable.I still want to document with Amazon my disappointment of this ValueToner cartridges. Since I am past the “Return to Amazon date,” it is too late to get a return via Amazon on this useless box of color cartridges for my printer. I do see an email address on the box and plan to send them this same message. Hopefully, this vendor will honor my $45 charge.

Help full hint: I have an HP 8710 printer. These ink cartridges will not initially work. You will get an error message.Call the C/S number on the box. The people there are really nice - they will send you via UPS the correct NEW cartridges that won't trigger the printer to reject them. You do need to reprogram your printer as they suggest. Those instructions are inside the box of cartridges that you initially receive. It resets your printer so it doesn't do "Updates" and thus reject your new Valuetoner products. The savings are HUGE. I say Good for Valuetoner for beating the big guy at their game.

These cartridges are not OEM, but they perform just as well and are guaranteed to be completely compatible. They were inserted into the printer effortlessly and started working immediately. I wish everything worked as well as they did. I will definitely be reordering these cartridges again!!
