IRWIN VISE-GRIP Diagonal Cutting Pliers, 6", 2078306

I'm 75 and I don't remember the last time I bought a tool, till now. I had two of these, that were unable to cut through a wire or even a zip tie! Time for a new one. I chose this one, on Price first (best I could find) and the thousands of people who bought it before me. They look great, feel solid and cut like they're supposed to.

I have always used IRWIN tools, so when I needed a new set of cutting pliers, I had to get the same brand again. They always work great and stay sharp to easily cut. We use them for so many things around the house too. I use them in the garage and my wife uses them with her crafts. The handles are comfortable and easy on your hands.

I recently started my own handyman business and didn't want to dig for tools everytime I had a job. I love my Klein cutters. They cut through wire like it's not even there. Smooth as silk and no bending or wiggling. Just clean cuts. I bought these because I'll do electric work once in a while and I'm not worried about it cutting perfect. They cut ok. The blades don't touch in parts so you may need to cut twice. The handles are shorter. This is nice and compact bit, not good for leverage. The do excell at cutting zip ties...if you're looking for that you're in business!For occasional DIY or as a backup they work. Not the best and not the worst. I would say Bob's Burgers said it best, "OK I'll go but I'm going to complain the whole time!:

I bought this to cut strings to length for my bass guitar. At half the price of a similar looking "guitar string cutter", I'm very happy with the job it does. My only complaint... As others have pointed out, the cutting blade does not go all the way back to where the jaws hinge. (If you look closely at the product photo, you can even see it as a small dot of white background peeking through.) This wasn't a problem with the larger string gauges (E, A, and D), but when I got to the G, I found the string slipping into that little notch on my first two tries. Not a big deal for me, but I would imagine guitar players with smaller gauge strings might find it frustrating. If you're cutting 14 ga. electrical wire though, you probably won't even notice. Still a good product worthy of five-stars.

I'm a 60 year old woman and I don't know that much about tools, other than they need to be of good quality. I bought these to trim excess from stainless steel zip ties, and they worked great!!! I'm so happy that I resolved a problem with these that I feel like celebrating, lol!!! Anyway, these are very handy and I feel so great that I got them and I recommend them to anyone!!!

These clippers are great! Precise cuts, comfortable grips, and durable feel. Highly recommended!

Ordered these so the SO could use them to trip floral wire and such for her crafts and leave my work tools alone. She likes the rubberized grips and the cutting edge works fine for that gauge of wire. One happy customer.
