5/8" Round Iron Baluster Slant Angles Shoes Balusters Pitch Shoes with Set Screws - Pack of 10(Matt Black)

My project is not quite finished but these gave it a more complete look. They are very easy to use. I ordered before I had an accurate count so was a couple short and had to order another box as they come in 10’s, now I will have extras. I am working on lower steps going up, so will update on how the angle ones worked/look. Do recommend for that finished look.

I bought these because the shoes that came with my round balusters could not be used for what I needed (slanted rather than flat surface). These fit nicely onto the baluster and has a small screw on the front so you can tighten it against the baluster. Very happy with this purchase!

I liked that they were small but I spray painted them in a matte black. I felt it had a bit of a shine.

These bases are well made and the set screw included with each offers a method to secure the baluster to the bases. These are a good value.

I’m using these as part of a wooden dog kennel that I’m building for our dog, Everest. She is a true mutt with some boxer, lab, shepherd and about 26 other varieties of dog in her bloodline. These are going to work out very well for my application.I have used metal spindles and feet for stairs, railings and a loft in the past and they look great. In a home they have a refined or elegant look to them. You don’t have to spend a fortune to get that look but the parts do need to have clean lines and a clean looking finish. These feet are not so great in the finish department. Several of the feet I received have chips in the paint and all of them have small, superficial flaws of one kind or another.They will work wonderfully for a fancy dog kennel/crate and the exposed screw heads will be a nice detail. In a home a lot of small flaws can add up to an off putting vibe, turning an elegant feature into one that seems a little out of place although it’s difficult to put your finger on exactly why. I’m happy with my order but I wouldn’t use them for my house.
