I have this in the shorter and this taller versions. The shorter version doesn’t move like the tall one does on the wall. The tall one works well, latches well but does have a higher tendency to “kick” the bottom some causing it to move ever so slightly sliding on the wall. I never noticed until I could see some marks on the wall from it rubbing. But all in all it works perfectly to keep the dogs out of the area we don’t want them in.

Best gate, ever!Easy to assemble, perfect height. I have the 39” tall model. Latch works easily, swings open about 110 degrees both toward and away from you. Using it to separate an older, temperamental cat from a new rescue 8 month old male kitten. The bars are close enough together to keep him out of her space, while she gets her hissy fits out of the way. A younger kitten could squeeze through, but at 8 lbs when he was adopted, he was already too big to squeeze through. He could jump it if he really wanted to, but hasn’t even tried.She likes having her space, and he likes the freedom to be on the main floor, and the kitchen!It’s helping with the introductions, and looks nice. The walk through feature is priceless. I use a large rubber door stopper to keep it from closing when not in use.I tried a taller style, 72” from a different seller, but it was so tall and heavy, that if it ever came loose and fell, it could have really hurt someone.Got the brown for the living area and the white for the kitchen/basement entrance. Both look great.At under $50, it’s a great value. Would also be excellent for toddlers.

This gate is fantastic, I love the tall height my dogs cannot jump it. It is easy to install, opens and closes easily, is very sturdy and easy to move from one location to the other. This keeps my dogs safe from anything that would hard them and keeps them in an area away from guests so that they do not bother others and yet they can still see out.

Wow The box we received was apparently a returned item with missing parts.Both 3" side extensions were missing from the box.One of the two top inserts was missingOne of the two bottom inserts was missing(Thank goodness our Grandson has a 3D printer and was able to duplicate replacements for both missing inserts by copying a design similar to the ones we did receive) If we did not need this dog gate now I would return it. But we took the parts we did receive and made it work with some custom alterations. It is sturdy, functions well and keeps the two Large breed dogs from going down the hall to the bedrooms. This is a good pet gate even if we had to make some adjustments to our setup.

This works great for our 2 cats. They are 13 pounds and 19 pounds. I don’t recommend it for lighter. They will try to stick their head through the bars. We fixed it so they couldn’t do that.

Well made! We bought this to keep the dogs out of our room with the ability to keep our door open at night so it didn’t get stuffy. Just had a baby and bought another one to keep the dogs out of his room too. No drool or dog hair to clean up where it shouldn’t be. Highly recommend! Just consider the height of your dog and your door handle when purchasing as you may have to finagle it in order to close the door if you don’t plan ahead - and if you do, the tension doesn’t work as well. ie could be pushed over by a leaning baby, etc.

I love the sturdiness and thick solid feel. It fits tight in the door without screws. The grandkids and dogs don’t faze it. The gate closes by itself so that you don’t have to worry about closing behind you if your arms are full. My wife has arthritis in her hands so the latch was difficult. But thanks to the design I was able to adjust the knobs at the top just enough so that my she doesn’t have to use it. Since the gate is not too heavy it’s easy on her hands to just lift and swing either direction. When she lets go it clicks shut. Took a minute to realize that lifting from top rail in the middle opens it even more smoothly.UPDATE: The gate wasn’t working quite as smooth as it was at first. Absolutely no issues other than that. Any quality lubricant will work, but spraying a little RV Silicone on the spring hinges, using the tube for accuracy, makes it work smoother than when it was new.

Matches our stair railing so well. Sturdy, doesn’t budge from place. Solid locking system. We use the little hook thing to keep it open when baby is sleeping.
