Background story: At the middle/end of Spring, we had a rather aggressive robin constantly trying to build a nest right above/in our front porch light. The mud, grass, and poo mess were horrible and we tried several methods to get it to stop. At one point, we were knocking the nest down daily that was repeatedly rebuilt to completion in the early hours of the morning and again once we got back home from work. My husband even CAUGHT the bird in action one morning, and they literally got into a screaming match at each other with the bird on the roof tweeting as loud as it could with grass in its mouth and my husband yelling back at it. We even bought a fake owl to be nearby, but that only worked for a day. Finally, I caved and bought these, hung up one of them under the porchlight, and THE BIRD NEVER CAME BACK! Nor did any other bird attempt to build a nest there.I can't say that this will work for you, but we were going nuts until we hung one of these up and have a ton more just in case we get any others. We really believe this was what got the bird to finally nest anywhere else.

These are cute, well-made and they keep the birds from the area where I hung them. We had a crazy cardinal that kept getting on the side mirrors of my husband’s truck making a mess. We hung a couple on a small tree nearby and now no more birds hang out on the truck.

These are shiny and reflective, offer great movement and best of all, we haven't seen a woodpecker come back yet to do damage to our wooden soffits! They took a few minutes to assemble and figure out, but anyone can do it with no tools at all. You will need a hook eye to attach to your eves or fascia or soffit, and these can hang on them.

We have been stalked by a Red Shouldered Hawk for two weeks now. We have small dogs and a 4 lb puppy that would probably make a tasty meal. We put these up in the yard 3 days ago and while it is still nearby it is not landing on our fence anymore. The bells are worthless, I picked these and paid more because of the bells thinking that would do more than the reflection but they do not make any sound.

Good quality and has been effective. I've had no more woodpecker holes in the cedar siding. You should be aware that the ears of the owl will scratch off the paint with wind. When I saw the damage, I took needle nose pliers and curled the ears, so the wouldn't dig in to the wood.

So far, I have noticed some success. Usually i'm awakened by the hammering of my little " Buddies " in the early morning hours. These discs are easy to mount and can be relocated to new locations. Because the house had been left vacate for nearly two years the " Peckers " have had a field day. I'm pretty confident that I have been successful in deterring them. ASAP the task of repairing the siding will begin. Here in the high desert of S/E Arizona we have our share of wildlife - birds in particular.

Out here with the winds we have, I don't see them lasting long. I will string them together with some heavy wire or something else before hanging them on our fruit trees.

I've had a Robbin make a nest on my front porch every year sometimes more than once a year and every time they make it impossible to use my front door. This year I said enough is enough. I didn't want to use any thing that would injure them but just wanted them to find a new home for their babies.
