Best red dot, but please read instructions
I’ll preface by saying I have shot a dozen micro red dot systems for my job and currently own a delta point pro, romeo 1 pro, romeo x compact, and two romeo 2s. I am confident in saying the romeo 2 is the best sight I own or have shot based on:-glass clarity/ not being blue tint-lack of “fisheye effect” at the corners-ability to be fully enclosed-larger size optic window compared to others-side loading battery without removal of sight-motion on/off to extend battery life-magnetic on off (I slip the cover on, and the magnet turns it off automatically)-Sig excellent customer service-has not lost zero in almost a year of heavy useWith those points said, I bought my romeo 2 almost a year ago and have carried it about 40-60 hours a week since on three different slides. When I initially installed it I used the included torque tool (set to 28 ft Ibs) to mount the main screws that attach to the slide. I then attached the full shroud and polycarbonate glass insert. I clearly over tightened the cheap T6 screws on the sides (which attach the two shroud options) as they immediately stripped. I didn’t worry too much as I didn’t plan on removing the sight anytime soon. However within an hour I noticed a small crack on the rear window insert. I left the gun in the safe and the next morning noticed that the entire window had shattered even though it wasn’t touched all night (see pic). I called sig and luckily they sent me a replacement for free within a minutes of calling with no questions asked (I can’t speak highly enough of sig customer service with not just red dots). I managed to get an armorer to drill out the T6 and remount the new window without issues. The key to mounting the shroud is to buy a torque wrench and mount it to 6 ft Ibs!!!!! I can’t stress this enough as others at work have stripped their side T6 screws too. The screws are weak but as long as you use a torque wrench, you will be fine. Sig was nice enough to send me 4 more T6 screws as well. Since then, I have called sig to replace the rear window a second time (free again!) due to minor scratches due to my heavy work use (although functionally it was fine). The rear window definitely is much more scratch prone than the main window, which I haven’t had issues with.Fast forward to a couple months ago and I bought a second sight on Amazon (for a new P320) because I loved the first one so much. I mounted the rear window myself without issue and properly torqued the side screws. The only thing I can think is that i must have over tightened the side T6 screws so much that is cracked the first window and stripped the screw during my initial window install. With that said, I would definitely recommend this sight to anyone as it is very durable and has excellent features versus the competition. Just please read instructions and buy yourself a torque wrench to avoid a broken rear window.

Way overpriced
It's good for what it does. The cover that keeps it turned off is a nice touch but it's slanted way to much to be used on other sig products. If you are an sig fan then maybe it's good for you but if you want something you can swap around to other platforms I'd look for another option. Sig's warranty and return policies on anything with electronics are terrible and the price is outrageous. It's too bad the new Trijicons were not out when I was shopping for an optic like this. Now that there is a Trijicon option, I would not touch this with a ten foot pole.

Installation a breeze
Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but installation was a breeze and quality appears to be good.

I want to love it.
I want to love it, but it doesn't seem to want to stay sighted. The dot seems to drift out of spec just sitting in it's case. And it requires constant tweaking after a range day. I find myself wishing I had just stuck with the iron sights. Seeing as how I went back to them. I don't know if that's an issue with the item I received. This particular model. Or red dots in general though. Since this is my first and only red dot. But it's definitely turned me off from wanting to use them.

Outrageous Price
Got to try this optic out for a couple weeks. It’s a big step up from the extremely cheap plastic optics that Sig makes. But for the price you’re better off getting an Aimpoint, Steiner, or Trijicon. Even Holosun is better to be honest.
