Gorge!
This notebook is gorgeous! The leather is nice and thick, and it doesn’t scratch easily so i can carry it around inside my bag that is full of pointy items. I’ve received many compliments, and I’ve recommended it to some peers. Would love for the brand to send me another one, as im a promoter, since im almost out of pages! :) i recommend getting it!

Excellent Quality
The leather cover smells great and feels great. The size is perfect for me to put in my tennis bag or ruck-sack whenever I travel for holiday, tennis tournaments, or tennis practice. The OEM Moonster notebook, which comes with the journal, is high quality, and it is fountain pen friendly; however, I only use TomoeRiver 52gm2 paper; because, I only use sheen fountain pen ink for my LAMY fountain pens; and, the TomoeRiver 52gm2 paper does a good job in complimenting the sheen in my fountain pen ink; hence, I replaced the Moonster OEM notebook with my TomoeRiver 52gm2 notebook (A5), and it fits perfectly in the leather journal cover’s sleeves.I like the leather strap; it does a good job in keeping the leather journal’s flaps wrapped and closed during my travels. My only request is to make the pen-loop bigger for fountain pens.Surprisingly, the Moonster pen, which comes with the journal, writes surprisingly well — it’s smooth. I use it as my vehicle-pen when I drive around and need to jot something down.I’m very pleased with this leather journal cover made by Moonster. I liked it so much, I purchased one for my girlfriend and my tennis coach.Check 6!/s/ Alfonso Faustino

Everyone should have one
This is a fun book. With the continual emergent tech coming out, especially AI, it’s fun to go old school with a journal like this and take notes. Definitely eye catching with my peers who are on their phone. I sacrifice accessing what I wrote via search options, but manually writing down helps retain longer. Also, writing helps condense the content instead of trying to capture every word in a meeting or when I journal.I bought a blank page book so I can freely use the page how I need to, which also helps with creative thinking.

A Nice Leather Clad Journal
- short review -I was not sure what to exactly expect when I ordered this Journal. While it won't fit the very specific want that I ordered it for, it will find it's way into constant use.- long review -I love the feel of soft, pliable, supple leather. The soft feel of the surface and the way that it rolls like cotton is a joy to hold. That is not what I received with this journal. The leather is pretty thick, which is not an entirely bad thing since you want some protection on anything that you intend to carry with you places. After some conditioning with Saddle Soap, the leather is more pliable than when I received it and should only continue to "relax" as it is used. The fact that the leather is a shell is a boon. Being able to pick different "refills" to use with the leather cover will certainly cause the leather to be used a lot! This opens up a wide variety of writing mediums from the recycled cotton to mass manufactured paper. The smell of the leather, upon first arrival, was not pleasant to my nose. I am fairly sensitive to smells though, and after using Saddle Soap the leather now smells like leather and not the oils used during the making of the journal. Do not mistake my words though. The smell isn't horrible by any stretch of the word, it just wasn't a pleasure for my nose to sniff. The paper certainly has the "ye olde tymes" feel to it. After using different fountain pens on it, from an Extra Fine to Medium nib, all of the pens have written nicely on it. I have found that the Waterman Black ink leaves a lot of ink on the paper from a medium nib and requires more time to dry before turning the page or closing the book. The Noodler's Hunter Green, on the other hand, was dry almost immediately and left no impression on the opposite page, neither did the Lamy Copper ink. I won't suggest using an Extra Fine nib, however, since the one that I have was super scratchy on this paper and pulled a lot of fibers with it as I wrote. On the topic of pens... I am not a great collector of pens. My favorite daily writer was the Lamy Safari until I picked up the TWSBI Eco-T, and this has become merely a case of the Eco-T holds a lot more ink. Neither of these two pens are considered Luxury to me. Luxury to me is a finely crafted pen. One of wood, with a good weight to it. The pen that comes with this journal is not a Luxury pen. It writes, but it is pretty janky in construction. Mine rattles and flexes pretty bad when the ballpoint is retracted, and is still super bendy when the ballpoint is extended. The rattle is not uncommon to these types of retractable pens of lower quality, so that is not a big deal. The amount of deflection that the pen has in the middle, where the two halves join, is an issue. This pen should really be tossed in the spare pen drawer, and replaced with a favored pen of your choosing. None of the fountain pens that I have fit the pen holder, but a Pilot G-2 07 does.In summary:The leather is nice enough, needs a bit of care and wear to get to the feel I was anticipating. Not a big issue. The paper is of traditional make. You will either like it or not. If you have never used this type of paper, know this going in and it won't be an issue. The pen is not needed in this product. It is a passable writing utility but is quickly replaced with other alternatives, even cheap ones.I look forward to some of the upcoming things that Moonsters has hinted at and will be keeping an eye on them!
