Great Easy Version of Ticket to Ride
Fun, quick version of the game. Easy to learn (hint people afraid of the original game, try this one) I wish there was a larger San Francisco version, there are many more landmarks that could be added. But then it would be more expensive and less people would buy it. I love San Francisco, and I love ticket to ride. Note: this should be sold at every tourist shop in SF.

Another super-fun addition to the Ticket to Ride game family
My family loves playing Ticket to Ride. Ticket to Ride Europe is our favorite edition. We were recently visiting London with our daughters. We found this and thought it would be the perfect Christmas gift to remind them of our time there. We had so much fun playing this. It has various items on the map through downtown London that we remembered visiting. It just means so much more when you've been there in person! The game is small and lightweight and easy to pack and travel with. Everything is included that is needed in the game, so it is not an expansion pack but a standalone game. Since it's smaller, the gameplay is much faster than the normal TTR game. This is great if you only have time for a quick game, or for a good transition game on game night between longer strategy games!

Adds much needed strategic options to game play
As the title of the previous review suggests, this is an essential expansion that changes the game play dynamic fundamentally if you so choose to take advantage of the new rules. You could play the game using this expansion pack without resorting to using the strategies that it requires, but it is far more compelling and fun to take advantage of the new ways you could approach the game.Players get a warehouse and 5 depots. At the beginning of the game each player must decide where to place one of their depots (in a city on the map). The game starts, and warehouses are used to store a single card a player draws before his or her turn. The player must then place this card in any of the warehouses (including his or her own) on the board (each player has a warehouse). The player will then draw his or her two cards per usual game rules. Later in the game you may, if connecting to a city occupied by a depot, collect all the cards present in the warehouse that corresponds to the color of that depot. This allows to to collect a substantial number of cards that accumulate in warehouses, and in turn allows you to complete your routs faster. In return you give up one of your four remaining depots. The player with the most depots at the end earns 15 points... but it's far more rewarding to use the depots to capture additional cards. If this strategy is used correctly, you could complete routs very quickly and get a head start early in the game. One of the limitations of the European version is the introduction of stations that limit your ability to block people. This reduced the cutthroat approach that made the American version so compelling. This expansion, however, adds new strategic depth, and a nervous edge to game play where players have to decide when to make a move and capture cards.Great expansion.

Great product, terrible delivery
Smaller than the original. But better for quicker games. Fun to play. Worth the price. Terrible delivery: Item was ordered on Tuesday (need by Sunday) with a delivery date by Friday, after it didn't show up on Friday Amazon pushed the delivery back to Sunday, it finally arrived on Monday. When I checked the UPS tracking a label was made for it on Tuesday but didn't show info on it (meaning the company didn't submit it to UPS) until Thursday.

Plays Quick!
I love these little TTR games. These smaller versions play quickly with any amount of players. I think it plays better at 3-4 players, but still plays well at 2 players. It is great when you want to play a quick game that is easy to teach or learn and you don't want to play a large TTR game.

Ticket to ride
Few of us have come this far in our gaming adventures without crossing paths with at least one of the Ticket to Ride games. For many of us it is among the first games we play. In my case, Ticket to Ride: Europe was my first ‘real’ board game and I still have it in my collection. Ticket to Ride: New York is a newer edition and offers a smaller/quicker gaming option. Let’s see how it holds up.GameplayUnsurprisingly, Ticket to Ride: New York plays quite similarly to the other games in the series. While instead of train routes you are connecting cab routes, mechanically the games are the same. For an added bit of strategy, there are tourist attractions that reward the player for passing as part of their route, so keep that in mind when you’re placing your cabs!On each turn players have the option of drawing cards, playing cabs or acquiring new routes for scoring.ComponentsThe art on the cards is functional and the cards themselves are of a good quality. The cab pieces are as solid as the train pieces from any other version in the Ticket to Ride series. The game board is quite small, but this is by design. This game is meant to be quick to set up and tear down, and is even a good option for travelling. Instead of a score track, the game includes a score pad and pencil. My thoughtsIf you enjoy any of the Ticket to Ride games, you will likely enjoy this more condensed version. Myself, I don’t get the larger Ticket to Ride games out anymore unless I am playing with non gamers. That makes the New York edition an asset in my collection as it allows the Ticket to Ride experience in less than 20 minutes compared to the 45 - 60 minute larger experience. I also play this edition the most as a 2 player experience.Verdict:At this point, I would suggest this for anyone who may be a little burnt out on Ticket to Ride games; someone who still looks fondly upon the game but may not want the larger time commitment. Also, if you’re already into games but haven’t experienced the Ticket to Ride games, this is a simple entry point at a smaller price point. If you did not like the previous Ticket to Ride games this one will do nothing to change your mind.
