I am so shocked!!!! I just turned 40 and over the last year I feel like my skin has aged 10 years. Between the hormanal acne, the scars left from hormonal acne, and oversized pores, my skin looked horrible. On top of everything else, my skin is oily and sensitive. I was using products by Dr. Gross and they were great, but they just became a financial burden so I had to switch. I purchased this product along with the Glycolic/Salicylic Acid 10/2 Acne Control Pads on 4/3/2020 and started using them 2 days later. I used the serum twice a day (morning and night). I was using the pads daily but found that they are strong enough that 2-3 times a week would suffice. The transformation that I saw in my skin within the following few weeks was AMAZING!!!1. My pores are much tighter2. My skin looks and feels so smooth3. The old acne scarring is fading more and more each week.4. My skin looks bright and fresh*Throughout the first few weeks, my skin began to purge, so I broke out. I've worked on my own skin long enough to know that this is normal so it didn't really worry me. Those breakouts were short-lived, and didn't leave any lasting damage. Even with the breakouts, the overall texture my skin looked better than it had since I was in my early 30s.The serum lasted 2 months with me using it 2 times a day. I'm heavy handed so I probably used more than I should.I can't rave enough about this product. I am just so excited to not have to put foundation on everytime I leave the house.

I got this because I have big pores ! I also am prone to acne ! BUT this does not actually make your pores smaller. They make them look smaller by unclogging them and encouraging top layer skin growth that kinda squeezes them ! Laser treatment can burn away the top of pores so they actually are smaller but it's not a pleasant experience ! Dermafill by skin perfection can also make them smaller by adding more top layer skin. This is a huge help for a smoother looking face. I am now on my 7th bottle and swear by it . I have less acne and breakouts and healthier skin. It is at a concentration low enough so that you do not have to worry about sun exposure and you can use everyday ! I have never had a rash . It does dry out fast on its own but both vitamin A (retinol) and Vitamin B3 (nicinamide) are know to do that . That's why I mix mine with loreal revalift and Euceryn as well as retase by skin perfection (all these reduce pores as well). I highly recommend this because one bottle last a long time and its a good price. No red skin or peeling but effective enough ! So all 5 stars ! I hope you may have found this helpful . The effect of tightening that you feel is witch hazel. I used the whole bottle only on the right side of my face so I can compare it to the left side. There isn't any noticeable improvement in comparison to the left side. If I look really really hard the pores might be a tiny bit smoother. In the beginning the skin on the right side of my face felt tighter because of wich hazel and looked a bit better because i did not use moisturizer on my left side.The formula does not feel sticky or leave residue, the skin soaks it up really well.But no skin rejuvenation or such nonsense.I would give the product 3 stars because it is a great moisturizer but it gets an extra star for being vegan. And I will buy it again for those 2 reasons.

This seems to work well on helping skin repair and stay healthy. Definitely can feel it tightening the skin as it absorbs. I would recommend using with lotion, however. Pairing with a good lotion works well as an overnight routine. Bottle lasts a long time too, making the value pretty good compaired to other product.

I bought this due to the ingredients especially the niacinamide while the added retinol is a plus. I’ve used this for about a week and a half, and I’m not sure that I like the product. It doesn’t feel serum-y, but feels more watery. It absorbs quickly but then my skin feels really dry causing me to slather on moisturizer afterwards. I realize this is a retinol product, but the dryness feels different from other products. I also took off a star as the directions should say that this should only be applied at night due to the retinol. The price is great but I will not repurchase.
