Gets My Cat Eating Her Prescription Food
One of my cats is on early care K/D food and does not care for it. She can have some protein, we just need to reduce it for her. This powder is marvelous for thinly sprinkling and mixing in to improve the flavor for her so she'll eat from her bowl instead of muscling in on the other cat's regular food. It comes in a quite generous amount, too, given the minimal amount a cat needs per meal.I will say that it's very difficult to sprinkle because it ... doesn't exactly clump, it's not lumpy. But it clings to itself like fine flour. So I spoon it into a cleaned out McCormick's spice jar and dash it out through the holes with light thumps to the jar bottom. And when I stir it into the food, it then clings hard to the fork so simple rinsing won't clear it, I must scrub or soak the fork. None of that's too difficult to deal with, though, and the cats do adore it.

Nutritious
It has a nice rich broth smell when I mix it in hot water. I have two cats, one Loves it the other barely touches it! I pour it over a tiny bit of their dry food, let it soften a bit. I bought it because of how finicky my cats are about canned food. I tried maybe 20 brands/flavors from expensive down to the cheapest that they turned away from! This added nutrition and moisture is just what they needed.

Helped Australian Cattle Dog with abnormal blood work
Consistently clean and well packaged quality item, delivered quickly. When added to water it produces a rich, deliciously smelling, extremely healthy drink. I use boiling water, then let it cool before serving. Fully Human grade product, which is very important to me- I won’t give pet grade products to my dogs. It is specifically left as just one ingredient for pets. (It’s important to use a bone broth product which is devoid of any onions or spices, as these can cause serious health problems in dogs).Kenji loves this product, and will often finish his meal once this bone broth is added. He is eight years old, and has been dealing with lifelong digestive issues. His blood work showed low phosphorus, even after being on high quality food, a balanced Veterinarian supplied vitamin, plus adding four phosphorus tablets daily for several months. His Veterinarian recommended adding one cup of bone broth daily to his diet. As a 36 pound dog, he gets the recommended one level tablespoon. I researched and found that the chicken bone broth has 3x as much phosphorus compared to the beef, so I went exclusively to the chicken version. Bone broth is also known to be excellent for digestion, joint support, and immune function. His recent blood work showed he is finally in the normal range! Yay!!Highly recommend!

Has to be boiled and prepared ahead of time.
I bought this because I thought it be more efficient than liquid broth. Unfortunately it just takes too much effort to prepare. I typically only give this to my cats with wet food, which I alternate with dry food. So I would either have too much broth leftover or I would forget to prepare it.The trouble is that it can’t be made with room temperature water. It’s hydrophobic and doesn’t mix at all. It gets everywhere and becomes this sticky gooey substance. My cats also hated it when I gave it as the powder. If you have the time or if your pet eats enough broth to justify this, it’d be a great option. I’ve only gone through half the container so far. But it requires me to wash a lot more dishes than I want to.

Worth buying
My cats loves it. I put it in some water and wet food in their bowls and they enjoy it. I recommend introducing it to its regular meal little by little to avoid any tummy issues

Cat approved
My cat absolutely loved it and I’m glad to be able to find something that benefits her at a decent price.

Next to impossible to mix into water, boiling, warm, cold or otherwise
I first tried mixing this with very hot tap water, but the powder just formed big clumps and would not dissolve even after I gave up whisking and let it sit for a few hours. Next I tried cold water because I remembered seeing in the reviews that someone said it was easier to mix into cold water. Nope, same results. So then I read the directions (and at this point I’m still thinking it’s user error because I was just winging it and not following instructions). So I boiled water and when I started pouring the powder in a little at a time hoping it wouldn’t clump, it started foaming up. I’m thinking no big deal, lots of reviews mentioned it foams. Then it pretty much exploded. Boiling hot water and chunks of clumped powder pretty much exploded out of the top of the bowl. You know when you add Mentos to Diet Coke and it makes a geyser? Yeah, that’s what it did. Water and clumps everywhere. I’m still finding dried little clumps stuck on like cement that have to be pried/scraped off with something more than a fingernail. I don’t know what is in this bottle but good luck mixing it into water to make broth. It’s hydrophobic in a serious way. I’m burnt, defeated and used up most of the container…but hey there was some that mixed in after the explosion and my dog liked it, so that’s something I guess. Off to find some broth that’s not hazardous to my health.
