These work great. They extend my play at least an hour probably closer to 2. It fits well and its light you can't tell its on. I recommend getting at least 2 so you can swap out and charge the used one. It takes a little while to get back to full but if you wanna stay In the game some charge is better than no charge just keep rotating them out.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I am surprisingly happy with this product. I was not expecting much. Very easy to install and it adds 2 hours to my play time.

I bought this because I wanted to do the virtual museum tours but didn't want to feel limited to just the battery on my Oculus- I wanted to take time to actually look around. That is not the main purpose of this anymore. I have a rule for my children that once the Oculus is dies, that's all the play time they get for the day. They have quickly learned that with this external battery, their play time is extended for a while longer.Per the other reviews, we plug in around 80% (sometimes as low as 60%) which extends the total play time by a couple hours. It's light weight, slides onto the strap so it won't get lost, and uses a USB-C. (which I am so glad it's not a different cord, my kids would lose it). I am also very please at how affordable it is and isn't a pretty penny like most gaming add ons are now days.

Fits well with the original headset strap. I have a different one but was able to utilize it as well, just keep in mind it may not fit aftermarket straps.

Is this a good battery pack? Just don’t try to use it on your Meta Quest. If your battery is already dead you have to put it on when your battery starts to die or still has a little bit of battery left. It will help recharge your battery just not as good as you think but it will extend your playing time I believe for an extra hour or so Works great for me for that little bit of extended time of play when I forget to charge my quest it is not heavy on your head and I don’t even notice that it’s there. It’s very easy to use.

*Edit*Replacement came today and works perfectly! There was a slight static sound for maybe half a second, is that much, when I first turned it on, but it hasn't been back since. Turns out the first one was defective after all, and while it still did what it was supposed to do, I could absolutely not deal with the static/buzzing sound.*Added Bonus*Using this battery pack has kept the front of my Quest 3 from heating up as much as it used to. Don't know why, but I'm happy with it.-----------------------------*Original*Firstly I want to say I love this thing. Played an hour of Shardfall, Quest 3 battery went from 100% to 94%. My Quest 3 in particular would go from 100, down to around 10 in the same amount of time just from browsing the settings menus. so it's definitely doing it's job. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the second I turned it and my Quest on, the battery began emitting a loud static/buzzing sound directly into my left ear. I don't know why - I thought maybe it'd go away after a bit, but after an hour, it still hadn't subsided. It is incredibly irritating. I don't see many mention it in other reviews so I'm hoping it's just defective. I'm going to order a replacement and update this review then.

NEW REVIEW: On the Quest 3 this doesn’t charge it fast enough to keep it running and it makes a buzzing sound through the Quest 3 speakers. Plugged it in at 20%, it still dropped about 1% every 2 minutes, so after 20 minutes the battery was at 10%. The battery on my quest 3 is shot, it drops about 2% every minute playing metro, so this battery pack is better than nothing but I wish it could charge the battery while playing.OLD REVIEW: My biggest concerns were it would make the quest 2 feel heavier and that it wouldn’t charge or only charge for a few minutes. My quest 2 is a few years old now and doesn’t hold a charge like it used to, drops about 1-2% a minute, so I needed a battery pack. I didn’t exhaust the battery so I don’t know how long it would last but it kept the quest 2 running and actually charged a few percentage so I’m happy with the purchase. Now that I have this battery maybe I can hold out until the quest 4 :)
