I received a white, gray and red colored comping in that order. What are their respective grit especially the gray bar? Thanks

Coarseness to fine: Gray ,White and Red. That is how I use them, then Green and plain leather. I tried to check them out several times in the literature and still I am not positive I have them correct. Color is just an indicator what the grit is actually but I am not sure there is a standard.

I ordered this and received white, red, and grey compounds. What is the actual numerical values of these grits? (not coarse, medium fine)

Hi there, thanks a lot for your question. Compounds have different abrasiveness, which makes the sharpening process even easier. The white compound has 28 microns, the light-green polishing compound has 7 microns. The red compound has 14 microns. You can use them one by one: white - red- light-green. Please don't use all 3 compounds on the same side of the leather strop. Every compound should be covered on a separate side of the leather strop. Feel free to ask any questions and have a nice day!
