What are the Dimensions? The graphic doesn't make sense.

It’s 2.7 inch wide outside x 7 inch long inside it’s about 2.25?

How does this work? Can’t they fly back in the tube?

I bought this for my animal control people i hired and they laughed and said, yes they can fly back in

The tube is open on both sides. Can’t the bats fly back in?

No, there is a stopper of sorts that let's the bats out (opens out), but they can't fly in.
