Q: I have a breville 920xl. i just received the screen and it fits in the portafilter but then i cannot move it to lock it in place. thoughts/advice?

Sounds like you are too full in the basket, the puck screen might be hitting the shower head, if you have a bigger basket try that with your current dose otherwise you may have to reduce your dose of coffee to allow the puck room to clear the brew head screen.

Q: What am I doing wrong? The extraction is slower and coffee is thin with no crema. perfect w/o the screen

If your screen is fairly new, then increase the coffee dose. I actually reduced my dose by 3.5 grams when I started using the screen, so that's probably not the soltion. If the screen is older than 6 months, it may be clogged, and need to be replaced. Blow against the screen to see if air easily passes through it. A clogged filter will require a very long shot-time. I've seen 50-60 seconds. The resulting shot was on the weak side.
