Cat Pee Shields Very Effective
My cats are ages 11 & 15. Both are large. As they have aged they sometimes were peeing over the sides of the litter box. I was having to mop the floor & the trays under the boxes. I decided to try the shields. I delayed using them for several months after purchasing them for fear of how the cats would react, but there have been no behavior problems. I have used the shields for 3 months and there has been no urine outside the box in all that time. When urine gets on the shield I wipe it off with a little spray cleaner. When I wash the boxes, I remove the shields & wash them. After 3 months I am still using the original shields. They do restick. After each washing I have had to apply a little more pressure to get them to stick. I anticipate having to replace them in the next month or so. I am very happy with this product.

A must have for high spraying cats
Very easy to install, easy to clean, and work as intended. One of our 2 cats developed a habit is aiming high in the litter box (ruled out health causes, he's just a silly guy). And these are very helpful in keeping the pee IN the box and save me time cleaning up.CAN be cut smaller if necessary with a pair of regular scissors. I use a single shield on the back of my Target Up & Up brand litter boxes because that's the only spot my cat sprays. Works on enclosed litter boxes just fine. You may have to replace them after a few months of use, depending, as they can come loose over time. I always keep some spares on hand.Admittedly litter can get stuck on the lower lip, just under the sticky part, but I remedied this by putting a strip of clear packing tape flush over the bottom edge of the pee shield after installation to avoid pee and litter getting trapped.Make sure you thoroughly clean and dry the litter box/area you plan to stick them to first or it will eventually come unstuck.

Pretty good; one issue
These work pretty well. They aren't flimsy, and the adhesion strip is strong. The only issue is that the adhesion strip is maybe a half inch above the bottom of the plastic, so if urine hits it, the surface tension of the urine causes it to get pulled up underneath the guard. It is hard to get it out, as the guard is stiff and stays laying close to the surface of the litter box side. It would be better to have the adhesive strip extend all the way to the bottom of the guard. I appreciate that might affect the adhesive, but I'm guessing it would last longer than my cat can stand bits of pure urine permanently stuck under the edge of the guard (he needs a clean litter box). Alternatively, a flap at the bottom that can be raised to clean underneath could avoid this issue. Anyway, it's better than pee on the floor or wall, but I recommend you attach this as high as possible to hopefully lessen the number of times pee hits it and the resulting difficulty of trying to get that pee back out from underneath. I may try a strip of tape over the bottom edge, since at least that can be replaced as needed.

Very good design.
These shields work very well. I never knew they existed. My cat has back legs arthritis which makes it hard to squat in the winter. These shields saves my wall from stains. They wash well and the double stick tape is durable. You can remove and reposition them. Good Product.

Still found pee....
So the product itself is simple to apply. You just peel off the film and slap it onto the inside edge of the litterbox. A bit simple for a $19 price tag, but it saves the floor, right?Well... not really. These are small, meant for single-cat boxes. If you have a jumbo box for a jumbo cat, they won't actually fit together. They don't bend easily, which is necessary to stick them on corners, they kept popping up due to how firm they are. So instead of fighting the corners, I just stuck them close to the corners, hoping to cover the most likely sides. Alas.... there is still urine under the box. I may have to buy another set to block the corners, but I worry that may just trap cat urine between the box and barriers if I overlap them.Still... it's LESS urine than before, so it's an improvement regardless.

Overpriced & One Cat Didn't Like Them
I have extra large litter pans that are surrounded by doggie pads and all of that is on a big tarp. The doggie pads help catch litter that is tracked out of the box and they also catch urine from my one guy who goes inside the box, but on the edge and so sometimes a bit of urine goes over the side of the pan.I bought these and cut them in half along the longer side as I wanted my cats to adjust slowly to them, so I cut them to 6 inch height. Two of my cats stepped in around them and urinated in their choice spots. My third guy didn't want to go near them and he's the one who goes close to the pan edge.To avert new problems that might come about from these plastic sheets, I decided to just take a role of Scotch packaging tape and tape the edge of the doggie diapers high up on the exterior of the pan to catch the urine that occasionally goes over the side. That way, none will actually trickle under the pan onto the tarp. So, happy cat now and happy human as we've conquered this challenge.I think this sheets of thick plastic with adhesive are high-profit items as they cost about $3 per sheet. If these work for you or if you want to try making them on your own, I suggest buying your own thick plastic sheets and some velcro. The velcro can be a substitute for the adhesive and it might be sturdier than what this product provides, as a number of reviewers have said these sheets fall off after brief use. Hope this helps.

Works very well
This product works just the way I hoped. It saves me any concern as to how my cats are peeing, and it keeps the pee in the litter box. It doesn't stick to the sides forever but I use packing tape as well to keep it in place.
