Heartwarming read!
This book surprised me in many ways. It was a book club choice for the month. Maybe not something that would have attracted my attention otherwise. However, we all loved it!! The characters were so well developed and likable. The plot moved at a nice pace with twist towards the end. Libby, Frank and Dylan will stay with me for a while. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for a great feel good book!

Absolutely Adorable
This was a very cute story. It was a well written empowerment story for women and even men. It showed how being in the service of others can really change a life. There was a bit more language than I like, even if these were English characters. I will suggest this book.

It's a book.
I bought this book because it was a book club choice. Not my kind of book and I likely would not have read it otherwise. It came quickly and in good condition.

Just okay
The synopsis of a book is usually what makes me decide to read it or not. I thought this was an interesting synopsis, and it would make for a really great romantic, or rom-com, novel. However, Sampson failed in making me feel any sort of connection to any of the characters. It felt like I was on the outside looking in during the whole book, rather than experiencing all the emotions along side the characters. With all the 4 and 5 star reviews this book has received, I’m clearly in the minority. But that’s okay because it’s just my opinion! Libby and another character Dylan seemed so immature to me, that it as hard to believe that they were in their 30s! Overall, a cute read, but don’t expect to feel anything.

Such a sweet heart warming book!
I loved this book! I love a good book set in London, and this book was perfect! I loved all of the characters and their relationships. There was also a slow burn romance. It had all of the ingredients for a great book!

The Lost Ticket by Freya Sampson 4/5 ⭐
The Lost Ticketby Freya Sampson4/5 ⭐Shattered and dazed, Libby Nicholls returns to London longing for her old life. Instead of proposing, her boyfriend kicked her out and broke her heart. The first person she meets is Frank, a hopeless romantic, elderly man. Back in 1962, Frank met a red-haired girl on Bus 88 that looked just like Libby. Frank planned to meet this mysterious girl at the National Gallery art museum, but he lost the bus ticket with her phone number. Since then, Frank rides Bus 88 in hopes that fate will reunite him with his lost love.Libby is swept away by Frank’s story and is determined to help him. She hangs posters along the bus route announcing the search for the lost girl from Bus 88. Libby takes chances, meets new friends, and rebuilds her broken world. She forms a better version of her life and herself. Frank also teaches Libby how to hold on to hope while allowing love to grow inside of her again. This is the cutest, heartwarming story about unlikely friendships and found family. I adored each character especially Frank and his unconditional hope to find his lost love. I literally wanted to reach into the book so many times and hug a character for various reasons. I smiled, I laughed and I cried with this book. This was my first book by Freya Sampson and I have already downloaded another book by her. I like Sampson’s charming and cheerful writing style!Read this if you like:🇬🇧 British settings👴Unliking friendships🔎🧑🤝🧑Found family😊Acts of kindness

Moving
A warm moving novel about a chance encounter between a man and a woman who once met on a bus, the lost ticket which prevented them from reconnecting, and his 60 year search to thank her for changing his life for the better, and the wonderful people whose lives he changes for the better even as he loses connection to his own through dementia. A wonderfully moving read. Highly recommend.
