The powder does its job -- my hair looked better and fresher after I used this. There was a super slightly visible powder of white on hair (mine is light brown) but nothing criminal -- you have to use a magnifying glass to notice that. Some customers wrote in their reviews that the powder was super visible on theirs -- I bet they just sprayed the shampoo at the same spot for several seconds which is definitely not the right thing to do... :)What I wanted to warn future buyers about is the SCENT.It IS there and it IS strong and it LASTS forever.There are people in this world who suffer from headache if the fragrance is synthetic and I'm one of those. Well, take this into consideration: this spray is going to kill you :DI used the shampoo early in the morning, later during the day I still suffered from this fragrance. And it's not nice. It smells like one of those bathroom air fresheners.Long story short:I bought this item bc someone among the reviewers said that the smell is fine, even weak. Now you know it's not.The powder itself is okay. But unfortunately I won't be able to use the shampoo anyway.

I did find that this product worked as advertised, leaving no white residue in my hair (which is light ashy brown). It may be more noticeable in dark hair, but I was satisfied. It also left my hair feeling clean. I didn’t find the scent unpleasant, but I would prefer if it were completely unscented. For whatever reason, I have had difficulty finding a dry shampoo that is both plant-derived and unscented.The product listing doesn’t claim this dry shampoo can be used to volumize hair, and it does not. If that’s important to you, pass this one up.The biggest problem with this product is the size. The can is the same size as other dry shampoos I’ve tried which were 7 oz., yet it is only 4.4. A brand-new can feels half-empty. I find this packaging to be wasteful and deceptive. Do better, Garnier!

I've used powders before but they always take a lot and stick to my scalp. Powders also don't last. This feels literally as good as freshly washed hair. The grease goes away and my hair feels dry. I feel no residue and my scalp stays clean. The best part is after spraying it lasts a few days! I've tried waiting till it starts getting greasy again and it works again but not as long and not quite as well. This is perfect for me as it can be hard to find the time to wash my hair as often as I'd like or on the day I want, and I get very self conscious.The smell is pretty strong. I don't love it but it's not gross. So maybe not the best if you will be cuddling up with someone. It's otherwise good to get you through long days with clean looking and feeling hair. Using it at night will help it smell less strong the next day.

Leaves a white cast on darker hair. The smell is strong and it creates a cloud of product when you use in a small area. You need to turn on the bathroom vent fan it help clear the air at er use. There is a slight tapioca smell that linger from using this. It’s okay but I would buy another brand if available. This would be a last resort nothing else is available buy.

I really enjoy this product and have purchased its several times from Target and other retailers, however I ordered this two pack and when I opened then the first one I shook up as you’re directed to do and attempted to spray it it sprayed for one small spray then stopped working completely, I tried to clear the nasal but no go. So I tried the second can. This one wouldn’t spray at all. They a full brand new can but completely useless & defective. When I attempted to get a refund at first they said they do not accept them, however after talking with Amazon chat I was able to get a refund or a replacement. I opted for the refund because I’m afraid I’ll get two more non-working bottles. From now on I’ll continue to purchase these from a in person store. But I do appreciate Amazon working with me and taking good care of their loyal customers. 5 stars for Amazon 0 stars for these specific bottles of this product. However if you find them in store & they work they smell great and work wonderfully on my daughters thin stringy hair.
