Seems to work well. I bought this for my pup to eliminate barking at random sounds/noises when I'm home, but nothing to do with security issues, mostly loud sounds my neighbors make opening or closing their gate, moving things around, etc.. The design of this collar is brilliant and is rechargeable, no battery needed and surprisingly lightweight (1-2 oz.)!!! It's easy to use and non constricting. Turns on and off with a press of a button and has 7 settings. The settings are set with pressing the 2nd button. You'll just need to count the clicks to set to the desired setting. The settings are reset to 0 once the unit is turned on again. I've only needed to use the second setting, but my dog becomes extremely complacent whenever she's wearing any type of collar. Fully recharges in 1-1/2 hours. I read the instructions which stated this is to be used as a training tool and not as punishment. Collar should fit snug (1 finger space). This would probably be effective if your dogs tend to bark a lot when you're away.

This thing worked great... for about six weeks and then it slowly stopped working! Very confusing for the dog and for me. It went off when she was just quietly sitting next to me or when she was playing, and at 13 lbs the play couldn't have been that vigorous! And at other times, she'd bark and it wouldn't go off at all! It even went off just sitting on the counter. I adjusted the settings, although there's not much to adjust, and when all else failed, I tried charging, even when I knew it couldn't need to be charged again. I was skeptical when i bought this, but based on all the good reviews, I thought I'd take a chance. Glad I waited to write the review!

We have a tiny 10lb half Maltese half Yorkie whom we adore. Lately however, he's been waaaay more yappy then he should be. We have a little one and home and now the dog barks at any thing and always wakes the baby up. We looked into seeeeveral of these collars and DID NOT want a shock collar or anything inhuman. We love our pup but just wanted to teach him that he couldn't bark at every darn little thing he sees. This collar got 5 stars because it's AWESOME!!! It has controlled the beast!! It beeps and then within a minute of your pup doesn't stop the barking it beeps longer and give a vibration!! Love Love Love how this is training our little guy!!! Thank you for this product ;)

We've had this collar almost a year now. I think whether this collar works depends on your dog. We have a high anxiety dog that this collar works great on, as she does not like the noise it makes. She knows when the collar is on and I know she tries not to bark on purpose. I tried it on my other dog (younger), and it works when he's calm because it throws him off guard, but he ignores it when he's super excited. I'm on Amazon now buying another one so I can have one on both dogs.

I have a Shiba with a narrow neck (like a greyhound) so I have to set it up near her jaw. It feels really tight, I have to work more to get a finger under the collar and it still moves. I have small hands so its probably tighter than it should be imo.It's also been going off when she knocks it against stuff or if she's laying on the tile floor and the door slams. I've tried turning down the sensitivity but nada.

Here's the most frustrating thing about this product: it works very well, but doesn't work for every dog. I bought three for our two miniature poodles and one standard poodle, and while it worked for the big guy the little dogs just barked more in response. Luckily, the return process was quick and easy. It's a really great alternative to shock training, which I'm not going to do with the little dogs. Definitely going to keep the last one around for my big guy as he gets older.

I love how fast we got it in the mail! And it works great, my dog is not friendly at all and would bark at anything and everything. So we got recommended to this exact one and WE LOVE IT. He knows that when it goes on him he cannot bark or else it’ll vibrate and he does not like it. So I totally recommend this if your dog barks like a maniac, it’s a must! He is so much better at not barking or growling at people! Thank you so much!!!

I purchased this item for my adultGreat Dane that weighs 130lbs. The item works great as a barking deterrent. The dog gets progressively louder beeps after barking approximately within 30 seconds of precious bark. A harmless vibration occurs upon the third bark. I tested the item on myself before using it on my dog. There is no painful shock; only an annoying vibration. The item stopped my dogs barking immediately. I would have given this item 5 stars if they had made the collar openings more durable and the clip more resistant to dirt. Unfortunately my first item collar peice broke after the clip became stuck and I had to wrestle off of my dog. I have since ordered a second one. For the price, this item works well.
