Ok but overpriced
The media could not be loaded. We hired a hot tub for a few weeks and were plagued by insects and hoped this would help.It comes with a USB cable so is ready to use and had plenty of charge left in it when it arrived. It charges quickly and efficiently. Its small and neat, so doesn't take up a lot of space so is ideal for camping and travelling. It actually seems to deter insects rather than kill them which is even better, but if they are stupid enough to 'go into the light' then its off to rainbow bridge for them!So overall very good, but it is over-priced at its current selling price of £31

Tough and good for campers
A compact and effective insect zapper made with pleasing ruggedness, a good choice for campers travelling light. The bottom half of the device twists and slides down to form a corpse-catcher for zapped insects, however its far too easy to pull the entire bottom half free from the rest of it, and it is awkward to reattach. I also feel that battery life could be better but overall should last you a couple of nights before needing to be recharged.

Flies be gone!
During those hot summer days, the flies love to party around my cats' food bowls. It's not very pleasant and if a creature is in my house and I'm paying to feed it - it's technically a pet, and I do not want pet flies.I do have a big mains powered fly zapper, but it takes up a lot of room and it makes me jump when it fries flys (they seem to explode on contact), whereas this is less dramatic but seems to be just as effective. The light attracts flies and as soon as they touch the wire mesh they are electrocuted and instantly die. It's very effective and has helped to keep my Whiskas safe from flying insects. There is also a torch option with a pleasing white light, but to be honest I don't really use it and given it's where the flies carcasses land, I don't think I'd fancy looking at the silhouettes of dead flies anyway! In a nutshell: A pretty effective way to kill flies, fly paper still seems to be the most cost effective way but this is a useful tool and less messy.

Compact and portable light and bug zapper
This is a rechargeable light / bug zapper which folds away in to a reasonably compact space for storage and lasts a good few hours as both a light or zapper. It charges via micro USB and there is a hanging hook on top. There are 3 levels of brightness for the light and it can be used with or without the zap feature. We have been using this in our caravan and have found it to be mostly effective. When a bug gets too close it zaps them silently and quickly. We found that the light was most effective in the dark and that whilst it did attract the majority of bugs there were quite a few which seemed to just ignore the green UV light. As well as this taking off the base is almost impossible as the lugs which prevent you turning it too much in normal use also stop you from taking off the base without an extreme amount of force, during which there is an alarming sound of cracking plastic. So overall I am giving this 4 stars. If you want super effective bug removal at home then I would suggest a plug in unit would be better, but if you want a compact and portable unit to take out and about then this would fit the bill.

Effective, compact, portable, rechargeable bug-zapper
We’ve done a fairly decent job of reducing the number of biting insects in our back garden with choice landscaping options and plants, but it never hurts to provide some additional options to help ward off the midges. We often use citronella candles as well but don’t always find them that effective. This UV Light-cum-fly-zapper is a great little portable device that can be recharged and just hung up or placed on a table top to provide some background illumination that also attracts the biting bugs to it and then zaps them when they reach the grid area.It recharges using micro-B USB connection - which is fairly common but not the more future-proof and increasingly common USB-C.The controls are pretty straightforward giving you toggles for the different intensity levels.Overall, it is a great, compact, portable little device for helping to draw the biting bugs away from you and allow you to enjoy the outdoors without getting attacked. For a price of c. £16 (at time of review) that feels like good value for money.

Dual purpose portable light and mosi zapper
This is a highly portable light with the dual purpose of trying to keep down the irritating population of mosi s and flies. When closed up the more sensitive part of the unit is within the protective ‘rubbery’ feeling translucent part which the light shines through when it is switched on. When this part is in use it is lifted up with the handle (that it can also be hung up or carried by) and with a slight twist will lock into place. The controls are on the top and the light can be changed through 3 levels of lighting. Each part of this item is operated independently and one or both can be on by themselves or together when .The light is effective helped by being rechargeable. On the move this could be via a power pack. The ability to rid an area of irritating insects in part depends on the light (it works best in the dark as they are drawn to light - some of which is likely this lamps lower light). It is a small device so can’t be expected to be as efficient as the larger ones. This said it will a constant part of our night time outdoor dining and travels.Anything that helps makes for a pleasant time outdoors is worth a try in my book.
