I bought this for my wife now living in a memory care facility. It works great and she has already slipped out of bed a few times and was protected by the mat. Having it fold in half makes it much appreciated by the caregivers to put out of the way while making the bed and attending to the wife in bed--quick and easy. The tapering avoids tripping by all, including myself, while walking in and around her room. It is very non-slip! The surface texture is rugged, material is soft for cushioning but firm enough not to wrinkle and bunch, and the weight is just right for durability, moving around, and able to stay put. A fine product!

The product was a bit deceiving. It is not what was expected as it was narrower than expected. Basically it was like having two kitchen mates beside each other. The ad related to being a safe cushion for elderly or disabled patients. Not convinced and will look elsewhere.

All pluses for this very important purchase when domeone you love and care for has movement issues as does my husband. I began seeing him trip over the edge of the kitchen runner. This mat has averted potentially serious injuries given multiple underlying medical conditions. And if that isn’t enough for purchase, it is like a cloud under your feet AND no more trips to the washer with a bulky rug. It cleans up with a damp paper towel every evening.

I am concerned that I would slip and fall when I get out of bed. The floor is slippery. I would give this 5 stars but I’m constantly moving the mat back where I need it. A none slip texture on the other side to keep it in place would be nice.

The mat came rolled up but flatted out quickly. It is well made and has an enough firm/soft mix that walking on it is not hazardous for someone who can walk unassisted.
