Acer palmatum Taylor is a deciduous shrub with five-lobed, colour-changing leaves in all seasons. Every colour it takes on is striking, starting with pale pink which will gradually turn green with a cream border. Then, as the year progresses into Autumn, the foliage bears a vibrant, lime green shade. This slow-growing plant, which can be grown as a small tree, will go on to reach an ultimate height and spread of 1.5m - 2.5m. Acers can be cared for with relative ease. Plant in an area of partial shade and aim to avoid long periods of exposure to full sunlight. It can tolerate most soil types, requiring you keep it moist, well-drained and ensure watering is kept to a regular, consistent level. Choose your preferred pot size - 9cm, 3L or 10L - from the selection menu. This is always subject to stock availability. Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
