Less cord mess, works great!
This is the second one of these I’ve bought, the first one still works just wanted to not have to switch between TVs. This is fantastic, it makes it so much easier and cleaner looking. I also use it when using our projector outside as it makes it so we have one less thing that needs an outlet. Highly recommend if you are getting a fire stick to get this as well.

DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. (FIRE TV STICK ).
Since I lpurchased this product, I actually seldom use it but it is always plugged in. Now it doesn’t work anymore and I noticed the power supply box is bulging. The TV connected to it doesn’t connect or is not being found.This product is defective What should I do. ??

Neat Space Saving Device
This device is great! It frees up the need for a power outlet dedicated to the Fire TV Stick and eliminates a longer cord hanging behind the television. It's perfect for where I am staying as outlets are sparce.The adapter actually works in a better manner than I thought it would-- I falsely assumed that the TV would have to be powered on first to supply energy, then one could navigate over to the applications, but in fact you can directly open straight to the applications. Neat!The reason for the 4/5 stars is that using the device does seem to cause *some* performance issues. When opening the home page using the adapter, a number of the application icons don't show up and the previews don't work or take a long time to load. I directly attribute this to using the device as when I remove it and plug the Fire TV Stick as designed, these issues don't occur, and they come back again when I switch back to the adapter. However, these issues only seem to affect the home screen and navigation as there are no hiccups once watching content.

super convenient for cable mgmt
I was happy to find this since plugging the TV stick straight into USB doesn't provide enough power. Zero complaints on an LG Smart TV

Does not work with FireTV
This item will not power my fireTV. It continues to kick me out and not turn on the device. I have tried on multiple devices and same thing. Would not recommend this product.
