I have seen some (older) reviews saying that this cable does not support data transfer. I can say as of my purchase on 8/22/26 that they most definitely do support data transfer. The cable is also of high quality for the price and of a better than usual design. The micro-USB end is made so the ground will touch the ground of whatever it is being plugged into first. Thus, eliminating any charge buildup by draining to ground. The USB-A is already ubiquitously designed properly. It was great to find this cable since almost nothing uses it anymore. Especially with data transfer. I have a bunch of old ones laying around but they are just for charging.
