A rich, beautiful book.
This book is beautiful! Physically, it is lovely to read - full of gorgeous colour photos. Most of all though, there is love in these pages. Love of the inspiring life lessons we can draw from reflecting on Talmudic heroines, through stories that demonstrate their virtues. Love of food (of course!), with really beautiful, fresh, nourishing recipes. And finally, love of community. This book is co-created through the contributions of women around the world. I love that we get a ‘Greatest Hits’ of chess from all over the planet, and enjoyed reading the snippets about the contributing chefs: women doing so many different, interesting things; united by a shared love of feeding ourselves and our families with healing, wholesome food. And all while enjoying the soul nourishment of reflecting on the positive character traits that we may choose to cultivate in ourselves, and inspire in those who gather around our tables. This is a delightful book for anyone who loves recipe books centered on live, vibrant, food, and an inspirational resource for anyone who enjoys stories that trace a connection to people and places that can help us bring the best of ourselves to life.

An enriching experience in all the senses!
A cookbook that not only offers to nourish our body via a myriad of healthy recipes, but also aims at expanding our knowledge of the lives of women in the Talmud. Each recipe – written by a modern woman – honors a specific woman of centuries ago. But as we learn the stories of the latter, we realize how much they have in common with the lives of the former. The universality of food and women come together beautifully in this wonderful cookbook!
