Saving money from Chiropractor session from now on!
The media could not be loaded. Back traction devices are used to decrease pressure in the lower back. My Chiropractor call this process “spinal decompression”, because it takes pressure off the structures of the low back or lumbar spine. Everyday activities place pressure on the spinal discs, which cushion the back against harmful pressure. Using this therapy at home can help remove this pressure that results from chronic back conditions such as disc degeneration from arthritis, and nerve irritation from a herniated disc. However, Chiropractor sessions are not cheap, and thus I was looking for a cheaper way to continue to benefit from his session, for from the comfort of my home. After browsing a few devices on Amazon, I decided to go with this one which has good reviews. It’s a pretty simple device, yet very effective: The device inflates, then deflate, while randomly providing massage vibrations and heat. There are two pre-programmed functions, that mixes stretching, heat and massages. But you can also use each of those manually separately if you prefer though. I would advise you to first use some manual functions to familiarize yourself with the device, and have a good feel of the right placement for you, before to use any of the automatic programs. It comes with a plastic plate to place under the stretcher, to provide the best lifting power possible, while keeping it stable. Depending on the side of the plate you are using, the device could go quite high up, so be careful. However, I do recommend to place it on a good flat surface, and avoid using it on carpet floor, as it’s too uneven and may not work its “magic” properly.Keep in mind that this isn’t a battery-operated device. No charging required before use, which is good. But you will have to be near an electric plug to be able to use it. Fortunately, the cable from the power block is long enough to allow you to easily reach any far away plugs. There are no controls buttons on the device itself. All the controls are located on a remote-control style panel, which is linked to the stretcher by a long cable.

Works as advertised
It does work great for lower back. More programs would be nice. I also wish the vibration worked a little better. It vibrates at one speed, not much variation. But it does what it says and does it well.

What's Not to Love?
I bought this lumbar traction vibrator as a gift for my man, who suffers from back pain. He uses it daily and told me this was his favorite holiday gift. It really helps to relieve his pain and is much more convenient (and cheaper) than chiropractor visits, according to him. We have an outlet next to the bed since it must be plugged in; the cord is long enough to accommodate the device which is used on the bed. Because the mattress is firm, it works well. Not sure if he'd use it on the bed if the mattress was soft. He had to go slow with this at first but now he loves using it after he returns from running or playing a hard game of pickleball. I'm happy, too, because he feels better and I'm not asked to massage his back any longer!

So far it's a nice addition to back pain support.
My lower back get's tightened up when working or sitting too long and I need something to stretch it out. Passive stretch feels so good because you can fully relax while you do it. This can target the quadratus lumborum area and the erectors in lumbar that can really wreak havoc.I learned that you can turn the bottom disc that holds the stretcher over and then when you turn it on and the device inflates you get more height - therefore a better stretch. That's the only way I feel like it worked for me is by getting the addtl. height. Otherwise I don't think I would've been super happy with it.

My wife loves this for her sore back
I ordered the lumbar traction device as a Mothers Day gift for my wife. She has been suffering with lower back pain for the better part of a year now. She absolutely loves it. She has complained far less about her level of pain since she started using it. It's simple to operate, seems to be built well and even works great in the car. She has taken it with us on several road trips and its compact design allows her to carry it easily. The heat function on it works fantastically as well.
