Can i use this to compare the same color on 2 monitors?

We used the equipment to measure before and after color of same solid sample. The result is shown as delta E. We haven't used it on monitors.

Can this be used for matching stain colors and does it tell you to add the appropriate color to add to make a match .

yes it can and no it does no. you have to figure the formulation yourself.

can I measure color of a liquid ? Is the unit portable

Wildly inaccurate, there are better products for the same price.

This colorimeter is not precise at all. On a test of 32 RAL calibration swatches, delta-E averaged 9.43. Some swatches were off by as much as 17.62! Not a single sample had delta-E less than 3.5. By comparison, a Spectro 1 averaged 1.67 delta-E and the absolute worst was 3.9! This device is also virtually featureless. There are no options to get anything other than CIELAB values. If you want other color spaces you have to convert them manually, there is literally no excuse that a device cannot do this itself. There is apparently no way to calibrate this device. Buyers be warned - if a device does not come with calibration tiles, it is likely not a serious device for measuring values.
