Andy Warhol was a relentless chronicler of life and its encounters. Carrying a Polaroid camera from the late 1950s until his death in 1987, he amassed a huge collection of instant pictures of friends, lovers, patrons, the famous, the obscure, the scenic, the fashionable, and himself. Created in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation, this book features hundreds of these instant photos. Portraits of celebrities such as Mick Jagger, Alfred Hitchcock, Jack Nicholson, Yves Saint Laurent, Pelé, Debbie Harry are included alongside images of Warhol’s entourage and high life, landscapes, and still lifes from Cabbage Patch dolls to the iconic soup cans. Often raw and impromptu, the Polaroids document Warhol’s era like Instagram captures our own, offering a unique record of the life, world, and vision behind the Pop Art maestro and modernist giant. © The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc. Review: The PERFECT coffee-table book for the art and photography lovers!! - This book is an easy 5 stars. It’s a stunning, hefty coffee-table book that really feels like owning a little piece of Warhol’s world, not just another art book. Visual content: The Polaroids are vibrant, varied, and intimate, ranging from celebrities and fashion icons to Warhol’s friends, lovers, and everyday objects, so every time the book is opened there is something new to notice. The images feel like a visual diary, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the era and the people around him, which is especially exciting if you’re a fan of portrait photography or pop culture history. Book quality: The printing quality is excellent: colors are rich, details are sharp, and the large hardcover format gives the photos room to breathe and look impressive on a coffee table or shelf. With over 400 pages, it feels substantial and well made, and the multilingual edition (English, German, French) is a nice bonus if you’re in a multilingual home or gifting it. For Warhol and photo lovers: If you enjoy Andy Warhol, photography, or vintage Polaroid aesthetics, this is the kind of book you’ll keep coming back to, flipping through a few pages at a time and always finding a new favorite image. It’s both a beautiful art object and a fascinating document of Warhol’s life and circle, so it absolutely deserves a 5-star review and a permanent spot on display. Review: Vintage beauty - Love the Polaroids, also good for coffee table decor

Lovely decor, nice to flip through
I purchased this for decor while styling this tiny table. It fits perfectly and I think it really ties my space together. I was kind of on the fence about buying it but it’s exactly what I was looking for. The photos are nice too if you’re buying this book for it’s intended purpose hah
