Description says .4 inches, when actually this stuff id more like .6 inches. In other words its supoosed to be slightly smaller than 1/2", but is actually little over 1/2". I do like the graphite infused part, wood stove door seals much better now, and uses less wood over night.

The rope seemed nice and to size. I was worried about graphite residue, but handling with bare-hands I hardly had anything on them after, if at all. It was sturdy but not firm. Easy to fit to form. There is no adhesive on it tho so the adhesive rating is confusing. Was easy to shape and work with. Only returned because I got wrong size. >.< (not at all vendors fault)Shipping was also prompt.

I measured the channel as being just a tiny fraction bigger than 4mm but I have experience with rope that is too big so I figured it was worth a try. Anyway the the stuff is bigger than stated and perfect for my stove. We'll have to wait and see how it holds up. In my experience and situation rope lasts about 5 years before changing it gets on the do list.
